The flakes have subsided since he ended his molt which makes me think it was dry skin.

It's been a little over a week for Wrangler. I read that some molts can take up to 6 weeks!

I have been brushing Wrangler everyday and he hates it. Absolutely hates it. He doesn't care for the plucking either. Ugh.

Wrangler is in full throttle molting. Hair. Is. Everywhere. I can't believe how much fur my less 1.23 kg bun is producing! He feels so much skinnier to me too. What a mangy looking rabbit! It's looks like he has a nice brown coat coming through though.

So very sorry for your loss, but as others have stated above, your bun lived a full and happy life. What a wonderful gift. I too have a senior bun (about 8-9 years old) and it is my prayer that he will be able to enjoy his golden years like your bun did. Binky free in green pastures HipHop.

Update: the kit was examined by exotic vets today and has been handed over to rehabilitators. The kit only appeared to have a small abrasion of the right front which is already healing. I did make a donation to go towards his care. It's amazing how fast you can get attached. He was adorable but...
