    Mass Under Right Cheek

Wrangler had a CT on Thursday which confirmed an abscess. He had surgery yesterday to have it removed. The vet had to cut a little deeper than expected, but he doesn't think his teeth/roots were affected. His discharges read that he may have slight nerve damage, which is concerning...but overall...

    Mass Under Right Cheek

It's been awhile since I've last posted on here... Last night I discovered a rather large mass, about the size of a marble, under Wrangler's right cheek. It must have shown up within the last couple of days because I did not notice it before. He is scheduled to see the vet tomorrow. They are...

    Simethicone Dosage

I'm an idiot. I figured it out. But I just gave him 0.5 ml for now. I just feel like since he is so small 1 ml seems like a lot.

When will he poop again? - Fur block, after vet

Glad he is feeling better! My guy has not been feeling good today either (see multiple threads I have already posted). Wrangler has been eating and drinking and is now more active, but still very minimal poop. I am thankful that he is defecting but we are not out of the woods yet. Still waiting...

    Simethicone Dosage

How much should I give to a rabbit that weighs approx 1.23 kg? Also, stupid question but I am tired, 0.5 ml x 2 is 1 cc? I was going to take my rabbit in to the vet today but the exotic vets that usually see him were unavailable and the office referred me to the university which will cost a...

Here We Go Again - GI Stasis

...as I sit here being helicopter mom and he is GROOMING himself. Seriously? Still no new poops but he did get a drink of water.

Here We Go Again - GI Stasis

I would say it's been a little over a year since Wrangler had his last episode. Most episodes required a trip to the vet but I am hoping that I'll be able to help him work through this one. I woke up early this AM and usually Wrangler is RIGHT at my feet. Or he's my alarm clock because he'll...

    Microwave Critical Care?

Good to know. I had stuck his bowl in the fridge since he didn't eat much of it. I will just throw it out. I ended up syringe feeding him anyway. Thanks for the response.

    White Ear Flakes/Scales

The flakes have subsided since he ended his molt which makes me think it was dry skin.

    Microwave Critical Care?

Can critical care mixed with water be heated in a microwave? This may be a dumb question. My poor bun is not feeling too hot this morning😔

    White Ear Flakes/Scales

Hmm I have never heard of applying olive oil. Interesting. I am assuming that it won't make my bun sick if he licks it? I would like to apply some sort of topical to see if it would improve. Buns are just so delicate though and I wouldn't want to apply a topical that would make him sick. He is...

Let's See Your Bun's Molting Pic

It's been a little over a week for Wrangler. I read that some molts can take up to 6 weeks!

Let's See Your Bun's Molting Pic

I have been brushing Wrangler everyday and he hates it. Absolutely hates it. He doesn't care for the plucking either. Ugh.

    White Ear Flakes/Scales

My bun does not go outside...but thank you for the response.

Let's See Your Bun's Molting Pic

Wrangler is in full throttle molting. Hair. Is. Everywhere. I can't believe how much fur my less 1.23 kg bun is producing! He feels so much skinnier to me too. What a mangy looking rabbit! It's looks like he has a nice brown coat coming through though.

    White Ear Flakes/Scales

So Wrangler has always had somewhat dry ears for the most part. The vets were never concerned. But since my bun has started seriously molting this season the dry flakes have become more prominent. Please tell me these flakes are not mites (they do not appear to be moving). His inner ears look...

I lost my best friend, HipHop today.

So very sorry for your loss, but as others have stated above, your bun lived a full and happy life. What a wonderful gift. I too have a senior bun (about 8-9 years old) and it is my prayer that he will be able to enjoy his golden years like your bun did. Binky free in green pastures HipHop.

    Injured Wild Rabbit Kit

That was my initial concern as well, but once he settled down the bleeding stopped which makes me think it was due to shock?

    Injured Wild Rabbit Kit

Update: the kit was examined by exotic vets today and has been handed over to rehabilitators. The kit only appeared to have a small abrasion of the right front which is already healing. I did make a donation to go towards his care. It's amazing how fast you can get attached. He was adorable but...

    Injured Wild Rabbit Kit

The little guy made it through the night and is actually attempting to gnaw his way out of the box. He's digging and scurrying around in the box as I type this. So glad he made it through the night. I did give him a little bit of kitten milk replacer and water but he didn't take to the syringe...
