    (RIP) Sudden illness

Thank you for your ideas, but it's too late. Though I will stockpile the thoughts away in case (gods forbid) the others fall ill, we are off to bury our second baby in as many weeks. Binky free sweet Luna.

    (RIP) Sudden illness

We unfortunately are not in a postion where we can take her to a vet at the moment. We're trying to figure out if there's anything we can do from home or if we should just make her comfortable and prepare for the worst.

    (RIP) Sudden illness

She's slumped on a towel on our bed. We have the AC on at about 75 degrees, but I have her snuggled up in the towel. She's not eating, not responding. We thought she was asleep when we walked in and she started when we walked up to the cage, but that's the last visibly voluntary movement we've...

    Manipulative bunnies!

I've avoided these problems by "training" my rabbits first. I make a clicking noise with my tongue before I give them treats, so they know they only get treats when I make that noise.

    Outside buns + heat...help?

While the heat here doesn't get too terribly bad during the summer, the humidity makes it seem much worse than it is. We got Penny as an outdoor bun and the breeder said that during the summer they would put a couple of frozen water bottles in each cage and change them out for fresh ones during...

    How old?

At what age is it ok to start trimming bunny nails? Our babies are 6 weeks now and they have sharp little nails.

    Walking a rabbit

We walk Benny around outside sometimes on a harness. The first couple of times we put him in it, we just let him run around his usual area to get used to the harness. Then we took him outside. It was difficult to get on at first, but he loves being outside and knows that the harness means run...

    The Stomach-Dropping Dead Bunny Flop

Penny never ever DBFs, so I was so scared when I walked into the room and saw Benny that way. I had read that rabbits would do that, but I never imagined how dead they look. I panicked. Now my fiance and I just take pictures.

    Introducing Bunny and Cat

So I recently acquired a cat that my friend had rescued from being dumped on the street. I agreed to take her, though we are trying to find a forever home for her. We've had her locked in the bathroom for the past day, but then put mama and the babies in the bedroom and let the cat out into the...

    Quirky Buns

angelh wrote: Benny does that sometimes as well. Mostly when he thinks I'm not feeding him fast enough. :rollseyes Penny's quirky behavior is that she'll take a big drink of water every once in a while and afterwards she'll sneeze. Then she will very daintily lick one of her paws and wipe it...

    Jumping babies question

So Benny and Penny both live in XL Superpets cages, though they are given a lot of time to run around each day. We are currently rearranging our living room and have bought some materials to make NIC cages. Benny has been moved into his, but I've run into a problem with Penny's. Since the babies...

Checkered Giants ready to come home but dilemma strikes

Being stuck up in a peninsula has it's downsides when it comes to dilemmas like this. I wish I could help. But I'm glad you and Mercy are ok. I haven't driven a truck (with or without a trailer!) with no brakes, but the brakes on my car went out at an intersection so I feel your fear. I hope you...

    Take the nestbox out?

Our babies are 3 weeks old. for the past 5 or 6 days, they have pretty much abandoned their nest box and sleep in a pile in the corner of the cage. Momma has ended up hanging out there, but I don't want her to use it as a litter box. Should I just take the nestbox out?

PIN: NEW BREEDS SECTION: BREEDERS, ADD YOUR RABBITS!

I have not personally shown Penny (Breed - Polish), though her previous owners took her to at least two shows. That's how many remark cards they gave us at least.;) I'm not entirely sure how to properly document the specific things they were looking for, but her first show says "no. in class -...

    Pulling Fur

Is Yoshi a blue? I wasn't quite sure what to call it's color. Would make sense, though. Penny's pedigree sheet has a couple of blues listed.
