    Awesome Website!

How dare you accuse me of being the person posting nasty comments on your guestbook! I am NOT that pathetic and the fact I had stopped posting here, and not responded to your nasty pm's should tell you the kind of person I am - which is NOT someone who enjoys nastiness or immaturity. In...

    Urgent! Need answers!

I read the entire thread plus another thread where you state your parents do not agree with you breeding, so I think I have a pretty good idea of your situation, and am pretty positive you are too young to be breeding rabbits.

    Urgent! Need answers!

I wish there was a law to stop people with no income breeding rabbits - I can't believe you have a rabbitry when still at school, and cannot afford appropriate care if any of your rabbits become ill. I can't believe your parents allow you to breed rabbits when they aren't willing to help you out...

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

Hi guys, Wanted to thank you all for the healing vibes - both the rabbits came back from the vets looking good again. I have left strict instructions for weekend staff with the words "If these rabbits are ill on monday I will hurt you" in an effort to make them realise this is serious. The...

How do I avoid getting "hotot hands"

Ouch! You poor thing. The way I deal with rabbits that get stressed about being picked up is to press down gently on their head before attempting to pick them up. I get their butts backed up against my legs, and scoop. Wear long sleeves for added protection, but if you approach it like this -...

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

Our asst manager is in need of a good slap if we are being honest. Anyway - I'm relating ALL this advice to my manager tomorrow, and I'm also going to tell him I'm taking it to head office if it's not dealt with. I am also looking for a new job... I'd really appreciate your sharing that info...

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

My personal vets are not too bad but very expensive, but of course my boss wouldn't pay for that. The vets don't even have gut motility drugs in this place we take the store buns, and I really don't feel secure that they know what the best treatment is. This is so frustrating. I wish someone...

    Sadie is gone

I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a sweetheart. Binky free Sadie...:(

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

Thanks for the advice Pam. I'm gonna check if the breeders are feeding the same food as we give the kits when they come in - in case that might be a problem. Also, and I addressed this before - one of our assistant managers has been telling people not to feed rabbits for 24 hours after bringing...

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

ps - I bought infacol (simethecone) and gave it to the vets with the bunnies, and asked them to give them metacam for pain relief, and fluids. I'm pretty sure Randy has said fluids are the most important thing in recovery. Anyways - hopefully I got that right.

    Haemorrhage Entercolitis

In work we are losing bunnies from the same litter over the last 2 weeks. We are down to the last two - I hope I got them in time, by insisting they went to the vets today, on the first sign of one of them getting bloated. The vet did an autopsy on the body of one of the other rabbits, and...

    For Daisy & Scruffy

I don't understand why he doesn't. This is the second time in 6 months we have had an outbreak of this. None of his advice has been kept up as far as prevention goes - new staff have come in and not been trained to clean properly with Virkon, whilst the trained ass manageress sits in the office...

    Confident Rabbit Owners

I've been incredibly lucky that although 2 of my buns have been very poorly with stasis - they both pulled through thanks to advice from this forum and a good vet. The way I look at it is enjoy every moment, and individual quirk your bunny has, and remember everytime you see him or her binky...

I made a pretty big decision this week

I'm really glad you are bieng sensible, and not breeding. I can't help but think that too many lovely rabbits already here need homes, that you are now not taking on them. I know this forum is not against breeding, but I'm afraid as long as the rabbit population is exploded with unwanted...

A question about rabbits and stress

This is what I thought too, and it is something I think they do when new babies come in store. Please keep giving your views on this, as I'm printing this page and taking it into work on monday. Thanks.

A question about rabbits and stress

Hi all, This is something I wanted to address, because our assistant mangeress in work tells people to do it when they buy a rabbit, and it sounds wrong to me...but don't want to say anything unless I'm 100% sure that it's bad info. She tells them no pellets for 24 hours when they bring a...

    For Daisy & Scruffy

It's so frustrating to me and the vet that this keeps happening in that store, but everyone passes the buck. No-one is willing to speak up for the bunnies, except me and I constantly get told it's someone else's fault - not enough staff allowance, people off sick blah blah blah. I want to leave...

    A Sad Goodbye

Absolutely no idea whatt's going on, but what's new! Your's is a face I've got to know on here, and would miss not seeing it around - so I hope things continue to improve for your situation...whatever that is ;-)

    For Daisy & Scruffy

I'm sorry to say we lost another of the cage mates yesterday. It seems they have all got some long winded name, I think it is colitis at the end. I'll name her Blacky because she was jet black, quiet and beautiful. I arrived early for work yesterday and the new guy called me over immediately...
