    Shelf Height for Flemish Giant

Thanks so much for the info!! I had originally thought they would tend to be less agile but then I got them home and they were much more active and agile than I expected. Of course they are babies yet so I wasn't sure. As for the shower, I think they're going to love it, it's all tiled so it...

    Shelf Height for Flemish Giant

They're are babies right now, but the mother seemed quite large to me. If I remember correctly normal shelf height would be 14-16 inches. I'm wondering if that's still a good height or if 18-20 is better. For right now height is not an issue. Before I invest too much money in a cage I want to...

    Cage help please

No kidding!! I just recently got back into buns and I was looking back at my old posts and remembering all the crazy things we used to do for our buns. But we learned a lot of really good lessons and are that much more self sufficent because of our experiments with rabbit cages :D In fact a...

    Shelf Height for Flemish Giant

I was wondering if a shelf for a Flemish Giant should be higher than it would be for other buns? Thanks! Megan

    Cage help please

MDF is the abbreviation for Medium Density Fiber board. They sell it at the hardware store in huge sheets that are 4ft x8ft but they also sell it in narrower widths such as 12 inch. It's one of the cheapest wood like materials they sell. It's like the material they use to make cheap bookcases...

    Cage help please

I once took a piece of MDF, put a couple of cup hooks on one end (that could hook onto the opening of the door), and stapled carpet onto it. Gave them plenty of traction to get up and down and didnt cost much. HTH's! Megan

    New Flemish Giant - nipping

UPDATE!! I was really struggling with having my little dude be an only child. I have a house full of critters and most of them are in pairs, I just think they're happier that way and I loved watching my other buns interact together. So I decided I would bite the bullet and have them both...

    New Flemish Giant - nipping

Awesome thanks! I'm not sure what food he was eating before. My friend conspired with my husband about this. She picked out the bunny and brought it over and he bought the supplies, I don't think my husband thought to ask about the food. Thanks! Megan

    New Flemish Giant - nipping

Thanks everyone!! Do you know of any videos demonstrating the push the head down technique? What I was doing seemed to be making it worse, maybe I was doing it wrong. He also started digging at my daughters lap tonight, the suggestion of flipping them over popped into my head so I did that twice...

    New Flemish Giant - nipping

Hello everyone!! Doubtful anyone here knows me. I used to post quite frequently years ago. I had a German Angora (Mr. Wiggles) and a Jersey Wooley (Bunny Foo Foo). They've both been gone quite awhile but they were very special to me. Back in the day there was a lady that had a Flemish Giant...

He has been getting some soft stools occasionally which is notsomething he ever had before. There's just something not quiteright. I'm always...

Bunman- That's what my husband wants to do now after seeing it work so well!! LOL I'm sure if he could rig something like that for the new baby, he'd do that too :D hahahaha Well I just came back to gloat some more, and let everyone know that after more practical use, it's still working well...

I have cut grids before like Laura mentioned, after I filed them I also added a little drop of rustoleum paint so that it was a finished surface again. It worked great! Megan

My new tray idea for wire bottom cages

Hey everyone!! I'm sure most of you don't even know me anymore because it's been so long since my last post. We've had our bunny Mr. Wiggles for 2 years now and from day one I have been struggling with pee spraying out the cage and the amount of poop he produces. Of course it only tripled...
