Excessive drinking & urination after neuter

I have noticed that Leo is drinking and weeing a whole lot more than usual (like double) after his neuter. I know that the anaesthetic can cause this but it's been 3 days since his neuter, can the effects last that long? Has anyone else seen this before?

    Territorial peeing or bladder weakness?

Hey guys. A couple of weeks ago when Starsky & Lacey were out one of them pee'd in their cardboard box den. This came as a shock as neither has pee'd outside of their litterbox since they were fully litter trained at about 15 weeks old (they are now just over 3 years old). As Leo had been out...

Can you tell me what colour Leo is?

    Hey there. I know Leo is a French lop but I am unsure what colour to call him. Is he tan? He is pure white underneath, white tailand he has some flecks of blue which you can see most when he is moulting;

Breaking news *Leo the stud is to be neutered today*

Hey all. I have just come back from dropping Leo at the vets for his neuter. We would love it if you all send good vibes. I'm very nervous having him there. I don't think he was too bothered, I wanted to give him a cuddle when I dropped him off but he was too busy chilling out in his carry box...

    Another bunny advert

Ah, take a look at this advert with bunnies galore. It's a shame our buns can't handle baskets like that so they could do their own veggie shopping :) http://www.tellyads.com/show_movie.php?filename=TA4920&advertiser=Abbey

    Protein issues

Hey guys. According to the fosterer my new little Leo was quite underweight when he arrived with them. He was being fed Allen & Page which I believe is 23% fibre & 12% protein. The fosterer changed him to Science Selective - 19% fibre & 14% protein. Leo is only 4 months old soshould he be...

New bunny, yay yay, new bunny

The people I foster for didn't need me for the little lop in the end sooooooo; This is Leo, my new French lop. He is 4 months old.I didn't say anything about getting one because I didn't want to jinx it - how superstitious am I?! There were two Frenchies there, he was just the most friendly...

    Dilemma

OK, I am going mad right now. I have been unsure about what to do as we are thinking of emigrating to NZ (where they won't let us take rabbits!). Well, the NZ thing is on hold at the moment and I don't know if we'll make it out there for a long while yet. Soooo, I'm thinking of getting another...

    Landscape gardening

Help, please help. Starsky is driving me insane at the moment. He is constantly digging at the bottom of the cage. He is obsessive about it. I put wood shavings and straw at the bottom of their cage normally and it's never been a problem before. The bottom of the cage is quite slippery so I...

    Coming to America

OMG I can't believe it. I am finally going on holiday. A couple of friends of mine are living in Chicago at the moment so we're going to pay them a visit in December. Even better, we're going via Dublin so we're stopping for an extra night in Dublin on the way back. I can't wait, I have never...

    Clumping fur

Hi everyone. We have been nail clipping today - not easy with our two little wrigglers but they had a nice treat when it was all over. I have noticed something with Laceys fur before but it seems to be getting worse. At the side of her feet she was growing fur that was all clumped together. It...

    Clever bunnies

So, I decided this morning that I would make a little treat for the bunnies to keep them entertained while I am at work. I got a finished kitchen roll and put some treats in the middle and then wedged hay either side of the roll and I mean really wedged to the point where I was struggling to get...

Well, this is my first ever blog. Never ever done one before so bear with me while I find my feet and blog etiquette ;) For those of you who don't already know I am human slave to two mini-lops Starksy & Lacey, who are almost 3 years old. They are house rabbits and have been together since they...

    Rabbit Show

Hey all. I went to my first ever rabbit show today. It was pure heaven. There were so many rabbits I just couldn't believe my eyes. I had a chat to a few of the judges and they were very helpful as I there were some breeds there that I couldn't identify! My boyfriend and I fell in love with a...

    Poopy bottoms

Hey everyone. I have seen a few posts about poopy bottoms but I can't seem to sort out my two. Lacey started overproducing caecels the other day, she was pooping and eating normally so I didn't worry too much, just decreased the pellets and increased the hay (they already get a huge amount).As...

    Odd behaviour

Hi everyone. Starsky is doing something odd at the moment - well, it's odd for him anyways! He is scratching the side panel of the cage and then licking it. I'd just like to know if this is normal and/or whether he is trying to tell me something. I thought maybe he's telling me that he wants to...

    Lethargic bunny with small poops

Hi, I'm after some advice again. I noticed a couple of days ago that Lacey's poop is much smaller than normal. I inspected the poop a bit closer and they seemed to be a little softer than normal but still of a decent consistency. Lacey has been lethargic of late. In the morning she is normally...
