How do you play with your bunnies?

Some of my bunnies will ignore any attempt I make to 'play' with them whilst they are out. I think they've decided humans are not worthy to play with the Bunnish kind. =P Others will knock things over (a favourite for that in this house is cola bottles), or move things which I put in front of...

The circling your feet means he is 'courting' you. ;)

    male & female bunnies

Good on you for taking this bunny in! Definitely wait until he's neutered before letting him meet your girl, if only for the sake of his hormones! I'm not sure on age for getting pregnant, but I THINK it's somewhere around 3-4 months. I still wouldn't let them play together, just to be safe...

    The Degerfield Bunnies

Hehe, thanks guys. Claire - yes carrot soup is basically cooked carrot puree. I usually add corriander, but I didn't have any in... Oh, is coriander the one you guys call something else..? Cilantro I think? Anyway... basically carrots, some onion, garlic and stock cooked up and then blended...

    The Degerfield Bunnies

Well, I have news... I got my first bunny kisses from Sam this evening! We had a good old snuggle on the floor, with lots of nose and cheek rubs, and Sammy repaid the favour with kisses all over my hands and nose. :hearts: Then I brought my dinner through, and unfortunatly didn't realise quite...

    Keeping the smell down?

I wouldn't have thought that the smell from the wood pellets would be that strong, and bunny poops don't really smell of anything unless they're excess cecals. If you're cleaning out every day then I can't see how her waste can be the cause. The only thing I would think could smell that strong...

    Iconifier

Well, for any of you who remember the Bunny Rabbit Iconifier (and for those who don't too ;)) but who don't check the Chat About the Forum section, I thought I'd post here as well to let you all know that I have devised a Bunny Rabbit Iconifier v2.0!

    Rabbit log

I keep a database of how much my rabbits weigh, as well as details of any trips to the vets, their ages, whether they're neutered or not etc. I weigh each of my bunnies every couple of weeks, to help with spotting any signs of illness and/or diet problems.

    blue eyed bunnies?

I'm sure there was a member on here that had a black and white, blue-eyed bunny, though I can't remember who. Here's my blue eyed monster... ;)

    Scratching Question.

Haha, yeah I should mention that you need to work up to the whole hand gradually - rubbing cheeks with the back of fingers to start with works, then both cheeks at the same time, then whole head. ;)

    Scratching Question.

Cheeks! =P I find that nobunny of mine is happier than when I cover their whole head with my hand and rub thier cheeks with my finger/thumb. That way they get a whole head massage, and I get loads and loads of tooth-purrs. ;)

    Unexplainable bald patch...........

Milo had a similar problem - a bald patch on his neck/chest that was smooth, no scratching, no scabs, no 'dandruff' looking skin anywhere on his body. It was there for a couple of months, so I took him to the vets. They were quite puzzled also, but they said that since there were no other...

Bonding bunnies - any advice you can give me would be great!

Sounds like you're doing a lot right, to me. I've bonded a number of pairs now, and my preferred method is definitely the persistance method. Basically, I set up a pen in the living room, with something down on the floor to make the territory more neutral, put the bunnies in, and sit. Get...

    Lightscoop

Oh no, I'm all for home-made in most situations and have improvised with home-made reflectors several times. This actually fixes to the camera over the flash though, so there're no need for awkward positioning of hands to hold a reflector where it would go. And unfortunately, my little...

    Lightscoop

So, I found this little gadget... http://lightscoop.com/index.html ...and thought I'd get an idea of how it would work, so I constructed myself a rather sorry looking cardboard version, with tin-foil, just to test out the principle of the thing. =P And then I took pictures in the hallway...

    The Degerfield Bunnies

I can't believe I never posted these! I can't even remember if I told the story anywhere... Well, I'll tell it here in case I didn't... We had discovered that Violet had not-so-girly bits, I'm pretty sure I posted that somewhere... Shortly after that, Nigel and Victor began fighting, and Victor...

    Burgess Supa Rabbit Excel Mature

He has his slower days, sometimes, but for the most part he's still pretty active. Guess I'll just keep an eye on that and make adjustments if/when it changes. Thanks. =)
