Another Bunny Lost His Litter Habits! What to do?

@Blue eyes thanks for the input. Should I move or remove the new hay feeder that's against the opposite wall of the litter box? If so, are both rabbits just eating the hay that's in the litter box? I just want to make sure I'm understanding. I'm using the new hay feeder since they are eating...

Another Bunny Lost His Litter Habits! What to do?

This morning I modified the litter box feeder to just a feeder (see attached picture) and put the original litter box back. My reasoning is that the litter box / feeder was a big change from their smaller litter box. Well, my buck was eating out of it in the back corner and peed in the floor...

Another Bunny Lost His Litter Habits! What to do?

Background: Our buck is 13 months old and neutered. He and his bonded spayed doe have the run of much of the house and are only confined to their pen at night. For nearly a year they have used a litter box in their pen 100% of the time (except for a few occasional poops outside their pen)...

Why Has My Rabbit Started Slobbering

Thanks for the input. I'll get in touch with our vet.

Why Has My Rabbit Started Slobbering

Here's another thought that I'd like input on. We are moving our rabbits away from pellets since they are at or near a year old. They are at about 1/4 cup x 2 per day. I give them plenty of timothy hay and they get about 3-4 cups of greens each both morning and night. When I put the food...

    Need help identifying greens

I've looked through a couple of publications on weeds in Arkansas. I can't find one that looks like this yet. There are a few sorrels in Arkansas but they don't look like what I have in my yard. I tried both the dandelion (never tried it before) and the mystery plant. The mystery plant is a...

    Need help identifying greens

I try to feed my rabbits dandelions every couple of days as long as I can find them in my yard. There is another broad leaf plant that usually grows among the dandelions. I've let the rabbits try them and they eat them as good as the dandelions. Could anyone identify this other plant and let...

Why Has My Rabbit Started Slobbering

I read through the teeth article you provided. I'll try to check to see if there is anything stuck in his teeth. Update: I checked and he doesn't have anything stuck in his front teeth or mouth. I cant' see his back teeth.

Why Has My Rabbit Started Slobbering

He doesn't drool when he's not eating. He has been to the vet twice since we've had him (not for drooling). I fed them 100% dandelion leaves this morning and no drooling. It seems to be just with the lettuce, bell pepper, spinach (juicier greens).

Why Has My Rabbit Started Slobbering

Lately my male rabbit )one year old on Nov 11) has really started Slobbering when he eats. We've not changed his diet. The picture is after he ate a leaf of romaine lettuce and a piece of mustard green.

    Constant Molting or Shedding?

Thanks again for your input. I was hoping that there would be something we could do to cut down on the shedding but I guess not. I think they both went through a molt a few months ago but it wasn't bad. Also, thanks for the heads up on the protein. I've checked out some foods and have found...

Thanks for the input. I'll definitely be keeping it picked up for the reasons you mention.

    Constant Molting or Shedding?

Our two mini plush lops (cross between mini rex and mini lop) are now 11 and 9 months old. They are 100% indoor rabbits. About four months ago our doe (9 months) came into heat. The buck had been neutered and the doe was spayed soon after. About that same time we noticed a lot of molting or...

    False Pregnancy

Ok. From what I've read, that may be 3-4 days?

    False Pregnancy

Our 6 1/2 month old doe has been in heat for a little over 2 weeks (trying to mount our neutered buck). Last night and this morning we found a good amount of fur like she is trying to make a nest. Our buck was neutered on March 23 so I think this is a false pregnancy. We have her scheduled to...

    What to Expect After Spaying?

Thanks for the reply and information. Maggi has always been loving to Quin and we only plan to have the two so hopefully she will return to her calmer, friendly ways. I've read some about false pregnancy but didn't consider that.

    What to Expect After Spaying?

We have two mini plush lops - "bonded" buck and doe. They've gotten along really well since we've had them (about 4 months). We got our buck spayed about 3 months ago. We weren't going to get our doe spayed - she is now 6 1/2 months old. But about 3 weeks ago, she must have come in heat...

    Rabbit peeing on bed

We had our 6 1/2 month old buck neutered about 2 1/2 months ago. He began jumping up on our bed three days ago. He began by mostly hopping around a little, then laying down toward the end of the bed. Until yesterday, he hadn't peed or pooped on it. I noticed that he was becoming more...
