    Chin scent gland smells

My rabbit is just over a year old, un-neutered (will neuter him in january) and i've had him for about a month now. I've noticed a stench coming from him and this wasn't really here when I first got him (whenever i would pet him my hands would smell too). I noticed that it's the same smell of...

    Litter Training

I'm keeping my rabbit in a pen as I'm litter training him. I just wanted clarification on when can I let him outside of his pen during this time? I've let him out a few times if I see that he hasn't had any accidents in the pen, but then when I do he'd go and pee in a different spot.

Is it okay to change the layout of his exercise pen?

Oh that's really good to know! thank you!

Is it okay to change the layout of his exercise pen?

Thank you! I will take note of all this and make! I'm using hemp as my bedding, I tried finding wood pellets and it was really difficult to find where I am (Amsterdam). I actually decided to go back to using his old litter box, despite it being quite big. I think that would be the better option...

    Bunny is thumping

Thanks for the response! As I said, I'm in the process of potty training him and from what I've read, I shouldn't take him out of his pen if he's still not fully potty trained (I'm going to free roam him when he's potty trained). Of course I do take him out occasionally, especially when he...

    Bunny is thumping

My rabbit (which I've had for only about 6 days) started thumping! I made the mistake of letting him run around when I first got him, and now that I realized that I have to keep him in his exercise pen for a majority of the time until he's fully potty trained then I think it's what's made him...

Is it okay to change the layout of his exercise pen?

Also, he did pee on top of the wooden hidey house... i cleaned it up of course, but it is wood so it probably absorbed the smell. does that mean i should remove it?

Is it okay to change the layout of his exercise pen?

The first photo (with the hidey house in the middle) is the original set up, and I want to change it to the other photo. I thought by having his food and water bowl close to the litter box would make it easier to potty train. I've had him for just 4 days. He's a year old, and he's not neutered...

Is it okay to change the layout of his exercise pen?

I recently got a bunny and am in the process of potty training him. He was doing well, until I decided to change his litter box into a hooded one (i'm not doing this anymore, it's clear he doesn't like it). He's still having quite a few accidents even now that I removed the hood. I decided to...

Lost litter training with hooded litter box

I live in a studio apartment, and I just thought it'd be best for my setting because I plan on free roaming him once he's potty trained. I removed the hood of the litter box the entire day today, but he still had some accidents. I decided to clean out his entire exercise pen to try and get rid...

Lost litter training with hooded litter box

I just got a pet rabbit, he's a year old and he hasn't been neutered (i do plan on neutering him, but i have to save up for it at the moment). I just got him a new litter box, cause I wanted to change to a hooded litter box. He was near-perfect with his potty training before I got him this...
