Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

Hello! Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I wanted to share some good news! All 3 of the Baby bunnies survived!! We raised them, weaned them and released them! They are doing great and they come by our yard daily :) No, we could not find a rehabilitator who would take them, so yes, we did...

Why do bunnies receive the short end of the stick?

Bunnies can be cheap and they can reproduce quickly, so I guess that some people think they can treat them poorly and it won't even matter :( It makes me so sad as well - I hope these rabbits get some better care!

    Goodbye Eclipse...

I'm so sorry for your loss - she was beautiful! At least you have those six beautiful babies to remember her by...One of my pets died just 4 days after Eclipse did, and I miss her so much, but she also left behind a couple of babies, and they really helped me :) I hope that you can feel better...

Baby rabbit with a big head

Ok, I'll try to do that later.....sorry my computer has been acting up so that's why I couldn't post any real photos. But I will definitely try!! Also thank you @JBun! Because her behaviour is completely normal I don't think that it is too much of an issue, but I am praying that she will be...

Baby rabbit with a big head

Hello! So I have three very young rabbits (4-ish days old), and I noticed that one of the babies has a noticeably larger head in comparison to her body than the other 2 do. I found a pic from here: Saving Baby Rabbits Found Cold and drew on it for reference. The other two have heads roughly...

    Can you kiss your rabbit?

Oh wow, thank you so much! Ok, I'm glad I can kiss my rabbits, because I have to admit that I already do! 😆 But that thing in the article about cold sores is very interesting! Thank you so much! :)

    Can you kiss your rabbit?

Sorry, I know that this is a strange question, and I might not have put it in the right place, but I was wondering.....can I give my rabbit a kiss? Is it bad, because i might have some harmful bacteria on me, or is it completely fine? I know that this is a bit of a silly question, but still, I...

Can anyone tell if these are peanuts?

I would guess yes......but if they're still living then I'm a bit confused! I was told that all peanuts died very young - before they could reach adulthood. But maybe the person was wrong! I will say though that your bunnies are absolutely adorable, and congrats on the litter!

Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

Don't worry - I made sure to add some colostrum tablets/powder to the formula (and I gave it a couple of hours to fully mix in and dissolve). I know that they are very difficult to raise, but I want to give them a chance at life!! Thank you for the link to that website!

Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

Thank you, that is a great website! It had some very useful information! I am not in the US or Canada, so I will continue to raise them. But I am going to release them, as I feel like they would would be happier in nature rather than shut up in some cage with me (although they are very cute, and...

Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

The one place that I know of that could take in the rabbits is already overwhelmed with animals. I do not want to burden them with more creatures when they are already far too occupied. But thank you for your help; I already tried all of that. Have a lovely day!

Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

I'm sorry, but I cannot do that. I am not comfortable sharing my location online, so I will just say that I am not in the USA. Again, all of the places where I live are closed. But yes, I know that I should not keep wild animals, which is why I will be releasing them as soon as they are old...

Emergency! Newborn rabbit care? Please help!!!

Hello! So a 1-eyed rabbit gave birth on our cold, concrete driveway, and then ran away. She didn't come back. We took the babies inside before a crow could eat them, and to help keep them warm. (a crow already ate the placenta) They are now in a plastic 'brooder box' (a plastic tub that is the...
