    Is this pinworm?

Hello everyone, I called the vet to get result from the stool sample I provided them last week for Willow and they did not find anything in the stool and they looked at the yellow stringy material under the microscope and said that it must be a food particle. I don’t know what I could have...

    Is this pinworm?

I think my male rabbit has pinworms and my female rabbit has something else going on as hers do not present like his. This is driving me nuts and will be another phone call to the vet.

    Is this pinworm?

I took my male rabbit for a nail trim and dropped off the stool specimen for Willow at the vet today, she will be seen next Friday. I was checking Gunther’s litter box and found this in one of his stool. Now to me, this looks like pinworm, what do you think?

    Is this pinworm?

I did break some of her poop apart and found nothing inside. I didn’t for Gunther yet, but will continue to keep an eye on his poop also. Their shared litter boxes I usually change every 2 days. Their individual litter boxes I change every 5 days. We don’t usually have flies or moths in our...

    Is this pinworm?

Other questions I forgot to ask: 1. Should my male rabbit be treated? 2. Should I be breaking Willow’s poop apart to look for more samples? And the same for Gunther… should I break his poop apart? Thank you.

    Is this pinworm?

So I was sifting through Willow’s litter box and I can confirm that these white strings belong to her. I will call her vet tomorrow. Is this enough for a sample? The white strings were sticking to this one particular poop but is easily removable. This is all I could find and sorry if pic is blurry.

    Is this pinworm?

Hi Jbun, I didn’t think of the possibility of tapeworm as I heard it’s rare. I unfortunately threw away the white strings. I will keep looking for more and save them in a ziplock. For now, I will take away the shared litter box. Thank you.

    Is this pinworm?

I have two rabbits that share a common litter box during separate free roaming time. I was going to change their litter box today and I noticed two white stringy material sticking to one poop. I am worried that it is pinworm. Can you guys confirm from the picture? I kept poking it expecting...

    2022 Indoor Cages...add your photo!

This is my female lop Willow’s xpen. She gets 5-6 hours of free roam. Unfortunately I have not had success with bonding her to my boy Gunther otherwise she’d be free roam 24/7 just like him. There is green grid attached to front of xpen as she has history of jumping over xpen.

    Can you feed rabbits culantro?

There is no misspelling to that. Culantro or Eryngium foetidum. My husband went to an Asian market to grocery shop. I gave him a list of things to buy. He bought culantro instead of cilantro. We typically eat culantro in viet pho dishes. It’s a strong herb that cannot be eaten alone. My brown...

    Poor hay quality

I forgot to add: Timothy hay to be more specific

    Poor hay quality

I’ve purchased small pet select (10 lb) and standlee hay (25 lb) for my rabbits, and I noticed that over the past few months I’ve been receiving yellow straw like hay with no sweet fragrance from both companies - which my rabbits are eating less of and wasting. Is there a drought problem that I...

    Help with behavior

For carpet pulling, I placed down ceramic tiles. You can buy from Lowe’s or home depot; they are very cheap. For peeing outside litter box, I placed an extra litter box in each room or where they commonly likes to pee or poo. It could be territorial behavior given new environment. You could...

    Tiny spot of flaky skin

I forgot to post the bald patch on her lower back side.

    Tiny spot of flaky skin

I was brushing my female rabbit today and felt a small bump on her upper back. I assumed it must be a tick as I found one on her a few months ago. Upon closer inspection it looks like a raised, flaky lesion. It looks yellow. Quite small like quarter the size of a pencil eraser. I don’t see this...

    Rabbit eating hard poop

My rabbits eat their cecotropes too, usually directly from their bum. But I am not talking about cecotropes. These are hard poop pellets that are larger and resemble cocoa puff cereal (if you’ve eaten those before). Fortunately, she does not do this all the time. It’s possible that she’s also...

    Rabbit eating hard poop

I noticed my female rabbit eating a hard poop pellet that she accidentally kicked out from the extra litter box I keep around my apartment. I do not observe this action with the hard poop pellets scattered around in her xpen. I feed her 1/4 cup Timothy pellets, 2 cups of veggies, and unlimited...

    Sneezing

Update: hello all, just wanted to give an update for those that are curious. I had to make a difficult decision to give up this little guy as I could not handle three unbonded rabbits. His sneezing never went away during his time with me, but I can certainly say it was environmental as his...
