Should I take bonded bunnies together for one to be neutered?

We’re literally at the vets right now waiting for him to come out :) have been told that everything went smoothly. We ended up leaving her at home because we didn’t want to stress her, he was very good about the whole thing bless him. We’ve made a separate enclosure for him with reduced...

Should I take bonded bunnies together for one to be neutered?

Hi everyone :) So we have two dwarf bunnies that are now nearly a year and a half old. They are brother and sister and are bonded, however we recently discovered that the little boy somehow managed to escape his neutering the first time round. We think this is because they were a big litter of...

    "Neutered" bunny still has balls!

Thanks for your replies :) We have him booked in for his op on the 13th July. We've been keeping them separated for the majority of the time just to give her a bit of a break from the humping. They have both actually got on very well on their own. We swap them between their enclosures every...

    "Neutered" bunny still has balls!

So we have two gorgeous sibling dwarf bunnies called Misha (girl) and Meeko (boy). We adopted them from a rescue about 6 months ago and they are about 15 months old. They had both been neutered/spayed by the rescue when they were 4-5 months old... or so we thought! We had a bit of a surprise...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

So, update for everyone! We took the buns to our rabbit savvy vet the other day to get their jabs and while we were there we asked if the vet would mind checking out Meeko's bits (we explained the behaviour). We were very surprised to find that Meeko has two healthy fully functioning testicles...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

I think he thinks he’s the dominant bunny, but she shows no sign that she thinks he is. It’s almost like she’s just indifferent the whole thing. She’ll happily clean him and be cleaned by him but I don’t think she wants to be dominant or submissive, she just wants to exist happily haha. I guess...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

Haha thanks for the positivity! It’d still be nice to know we can let him into another room without him ruining the walls though

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

He came from a reliable rescue who had them both done. How can we be sure? Is there a way of easily checking without going to the vets?

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

Hi, we have had them for nearly 3 months now. Before that they were together in the rescue from since they were born, but they were in a pen with all their brothers and sisters and their mum too. Since we adopted them he has been spraying and chinning everything and he still does it. He has...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

The thing is that they are bonded already. They snuggle with each other and clean each other most of the time. If he runs over to her though she runs away because she thinks he's going to hump, but if she goes to him then its all fine and they are okay. When he gets pissed off though that is...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

He does both. Don't get me wrong he can be a really lovely bunny and he comes over for treats and things, but he still seems to just be honking and humping her and flicking pee. He's lived here for 2 and a half months now though and has only ever been in that room with her so I can't imagine he...

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

Hi there, yes sorry forgot to mention, they are both litter trained. 98% of their poops they do are in their litter tray (obviously get a few rogue ones haha) and the proper puddle pees are done in the litter box too. We never find puddles anywhere, it’s literally just small splashes.

Bunny still flicking pee - help?

We have two dwarf bunnies that are now a year old and were both neutered/spayed when they were 4-5 months old. One is male and one is female and they are bonded with each other. However, the little boy keeps flicking his wee everywhere and we don't know what to do. He has covered her and us...

Bonded bunnies still unsure who is boss

We’re not sure exactly as they are rescues, but we think they were done at 4-5 months as standard. It’s definitely been long enough that the hormones should have calmed down,

Bonded bunnies still unsure who is boss

We have two dwarf house bunnies that are approaching a year old called Meeko and Misha. They are brother and sister and have both been neutered/spayed. We’ve had them now for 2.5 months and they are both litter trained. We think that he seems to very much think he’s the boss, however throughout...
