Housing bunnies outdoor- how do I know when it's too cold for them?

Hello everyone! I have 2 bunnies currently housed outdoor (partner is allergic to their fur so I can't bring them in). They are under roof/shelter (on a balcony/verandah)- rain doesn't get to them but sometimes strong wind do. They have a hutch, hideouts, fleece and carpets in their secured...

Poop outside litter box only at night?

Thank you so much for the suggestion! Yep I check his litterbox actually twice a day to remove the soiled hay, poops and top up hay. Then every 2 days I will completely clean out the litterbox. I will try to remove the litterbox lid to see if his behaviour changes. Thanks again!

Poop outside litter box only at night?

Thank you so much for the advice. Yes initially I thought maybe he would like the hooded as a place to hide and feel secure, I change his litter everyday but yes I will give it a go to remove the top part off. Alternatively I might leave the hooded box as a hiding spot for him and place his old...

Poop outside litter box only at night?

Yes it's completely dark at night! wow I've never thought of that, because the reason I changed from a litter tray to a hooded litter box was because I thought they like abit of security, but I might give it a go by removing the hood. Thank you!

My boy is a 9 months old neutered mini lop, just about a week ago I realised after the day gets dark he goes in his litter box to eat hay but poops only outside in a particular corner. I thought maybe it’s a pee scent on the fleece so I washed and deodorised the whole flooring and I moved the...

Less affectionate and more aggressive after neutering?

Aw thank you for your kind reply :) Yes it's been about 3 weeks now and surgery wound has healed nicely. Yeah I guess just patience.. He's been eating and pooping fine so I guess I'll just give him extra time to get more comfortable!

Less affectionate and more aggressive after neutering?

Hello! I have 2 male bunnies (Theo and Dash) around 8 months old and I recently had them neutered. They are in separate pens at the moment and are recovering fine. Dash was very dominant and aggressive before and now he is much calmer & responding well to litter training, however Theo was the...

Bonded Male Pair Fighting?? Clumps of Fur

Thank you so much for the prompt response!! Makes so much sense. Yes I have separated them. Even though I have put them in separate rooms, my more dominant one has jumped out of the playpen twice not being happy.. hope he calms down soon or else I will have to put him in a secure hutch.. :/

Bonded Male Pair Fighting?? Clumps of Fur

My two bonded male bunnies (from the same litter) recently went for their desexing surgery and everything went well. I had to keep them separate for 5 days to let their stitchings heal. Last night I put them back into their original housing area together and this morning I found lots of fur/ big...
