One other thing to try as the hormones settle. We bought big plastic storage bins and put those, both the lids and the bins, on and around the couch. Even if Artie got on the couch, he didn't poo or pee on it. We also found it took him about 5 months for the hormones to fully settle.

Great. That will stop the territorial pooing and peeing, although it may take a few months. With Artie it took 3-4 months to completely stop. Definitely worth it!
