    Devastated By Continuous Dirty Bottoms

Yes, her advice was fantastic! I'm so grateful. :hug2: My bunnies are fresh and clean (they had a little "butt bath," thanks to the sprayer attachment in the shower) and are going on their elimination diet starting tomorrow. I will be keeping a close eye on their progress and will certainly...

    Devastated By Continuous Dirty Bottoms

Hi everyone, Haven't been on this forum in a while; I hope you're all doing well. :) Anyway, I have two rabbits: Zeke, a neutered male mini lop who's approximately 8.5-years-old; and Nora, a spayed female mixed breed who's approximately 6.5-years-old. I've had Zeke just about his entire life...

She "Cannot Afford The Vet," But Her Rabbit Is Hurt -- Help!

Hi, Everyone: My friend just told me that her roommate's rabbit "did a suicide jump" from a few feet up in the air and has since been hopping around on three feet for the past couple weeks. I, of course, directed her to rabbit-friendly vets in the area and told her that her roommate should...

Question About Kleenmama's 3rd Cut Hay

slavetoabunny wrote:  Too funny! Sounds good to me (buying the hay for the bunnies; not eating it myself -- but, hey, if you say it's THAT good...). He he! Thanks so much for posting a review. I'm heading over to her Web site to place an order!

Question About Kleenmama's 3rd Cut Hay

Thank you again so much to everyone for the very helpful replies. I sincerely appreciate it! I'm going to place an order for some of Kleenmama's hay. I will definitely be getting some of the third cut, and I'll throw in some of the second cut, too, so the buns have a bit of a variety.

Question About Kleenmama's 3rd Cut Hay

Anyone else? :) I would love to read a few more comments re: "roughage" before I place an order. I'm debating whether to go for all 3rd cut or a mix of 3rd cut and 2nd cut. Thanks!

Is This a Good, Safe Solution? (Grooming Question)

Thanks for the comments! I will admit that I did try using the hose directly on Zeke. He didn't love it, so I quit (although, the temptation still remains... he he). The hose wasn't entirely parallel to his body, though, so perhaps I'll try that. Using the hose directly on Nora is out of the...

Question About Kleenmama's 3rd Cut Hay

Hi! Thanks for your response. I look forward to reading your review of the 3rd cut hay. Anyone else have ideas about whether solely feeding super soft hay provides acceptable roughage? :)

Is This a Good, Safe Solution? (Grooming Question)

Looks like I'm not the only one. :) I also use the pet hair attachment on my vacuum cleaner. At times, I've been tempted to use it directly on the buns! Kidding, of course. ;) Thanks for the responses, everyone! If anyone else has any tips or tricks, I'd still love to hear! :) Erin

Is This a Good, Safe Solution? (Grooming Question)

Hi! I have been overwhelmed with grooming my bunnies (particularly Zeke -- he's a mini lop with a long, thick, agouti-colored coat), and I'm certain if there's any resource for discovering helpful tips and tricks, it's from all of you! :) It seems that no matter how frequently I groom the buns...

Question About Kleenmama's 3rd Cut Hay

Hi! I've been feeding my buns Oxbow's Timothy Hay. For a while, I had been thinking about switching to a less odorous, less dusty hay. After reading glowing reviews of Kleenmama's Hayloft and Sweet Meadow Farm, I'm going to make the switch! :) I'm going to start with Kleenmama's Hayloft. From...

Pa Adoption friendly pet supply stores

For those of you in the Philadelphia area, I highly recommend Buzzy's Bow Wow Meow. They carry Oxbow brand pellets, hay, treats and toys. They also have several varieties of CareFresh bedding. For $10 (cheaper than at most veterinarians' offices), a vet tech is available to trim rabbits'...

Thank you for posting that link. However, I was unable to find specific, useful information for my particular situation. I'm hoping someone might have some ideas about how to work around this issue.

    Airline Dilemma -- Beyond Stressed!

Hi Everyone, In a week or two, I need to relocate across the country. I have two rabbits. They can't stand to be separated from one another, and because one is a recent shelter rescue, it's incredibly important that I do everything in my power to minimize their discomfort. I'm also a...

Should I Adopt Her? (Medical-Related Dilemma)

Photo posting attempt #2: Anyone have any ideas about her eye? I'm thinking about calling the shelter/organization tomorrow or on Monday and "pleading my case" to see if there's any way that a vet could take a look at her so I'd know before the adoption what I might be getting myself into...

Should I Adopt Her? (Medical-Related Dilemma)

Thanks, Everyone, for your responses! I'm still thinking a lot about her. I could go to the shelter tomorrow, but I'm not sure if they would adopt her out on Easter. The volunteers at the event told me that Tuesday was the earliest that I could pick her up. Maybe that was just a suggestion? I...

Should I Adopt Her? (Medical-Related Dilemma)

That's a good point. The way that it was explained to me was that it wouldn't be "reasonable" (or something that they would cover completely) if I decided to try a number of different costly methods to treat the eye only to realize that nothing can be done and THEN elect for her to undergo...
