I cleaned and cleaned yesterday. It seems that all of the sick rabbits came from the same barn. I cloroxed all the cages, food dishes and water dishes. I stripped the floor of the barn and laid new shavings. I am doing all that I can. The two that had the white discharge and were noticable sick...

That is the problem. There are no vets around me that treat rabbits. I have to depend on my dog or horse vet for any rabbit issues. SHould I assume that any wetness or matting of the fur on the paws is a sick animal? Now every time I see even a hint of wet paws I get worried. I am so afraid...

I know this probably belongs in the infirmary section but I wanted advice from breeders. We went to a show yesterday and a judge DQ'd one of our rabbits and said it had pasturella. I think it was caught it in the beginning stages.Not a lot of nasal discharge and minor matting on the front paws...

I am thinking I would really like to have some comments on them as well. It is a show very close to us...

They are over the minimum weight but still smallin size. I am just afraid to put them in if there are several junior who will be turning seniors very shortly. They wouldn't stand a chance. What is everyone's experience?

My daughter has several young litters and was wanting to take a couple to an upcoming show. I was wondering at what age most breeders showed their babies? Her babies will be 3 1/2 months by show time, but they are small.

We have been keeping some of our rabbits inside, but I find myself changing the pine shavings in the drop pan every two days. Often most of the shavings are fine, but the smell is over whelming. Any suggestions of what I could use in the drop pans to curb the ammonia smell?

I was wondering what you need to do to be a rabbit show secretary? Are there classes or certification that you need to be able to serve as a show secretary?

It has been since yesterday morning since he drank. THere were a few poop pellets in his cage this morning. I am afraid he is stressed. Not sure what to do/.

We bought a new buck yesterday and I am really concerned this morning that he is not eating or drinking. Any suggesttions on what to do? He was from a rabbitry with city water, so I have given him bottled water as we are on a well. I am worried because I know that rabbits can dehydrate quickly.

I have my first litter of HImalayan rabbits. They are two weeks old, but their fur is still very dark. If you look down into the fur it is white. Is this normal? At what point do they whiten out?

How can you tell if your kits are a buck or doe?

I normally get them from TSC... but lately they have been out of them. :(

I am so glad someone asked this. My himi doe has only two surviving kits from her first litter. I was hoping to rebreed her. However, some have said to only breed your does once a year... Anyone else hear this?

Well we went to our first show and hubby has decided to show holland lops. I am glad. They are too cute.
