    Long car ride with rabbits

How would he get loose? Only open the carry case with all the doors of the car shut or within a hotel room with the doors shut. If he gets loose in the car, he's still in the car. I see you wrote your carrier takes the whole back seat, so you have to have the car door open to open the...

    Long car ride with rabbits

Personally I wouldn't put a water bowl in the carrier, I would offer water at each of your driving breaks. I am sure you are a careful driver but we cannot control other drivers and their craziness. Even giving yourself space between cars can't prevent a deer, dog, cat, etc. from jumping out...

Different pens for different parts of the day?

Marble slab for her to lay on? That's brilliant! Why didn't I think of that, I have one from counter tops-sample that is just sitting around. Thanks for YOUR tip!

Did I get a new rabbit too soon?

Any chance you can hold off until she is spayed? What if she is obnoxious because of hormones? When I wanted to get rid of my hedgehogs (out of grief as well) I asked myself What would Riley want me to do? I hope this doesn't sound harsh, I just mean that another rabbit will not necessarily...

Different pens for different parts of the day?

Hi again, I'm still learning but I found this other post that I thought would help you (and me!) regarding higher heat temps and rabbits. https://www.rabbitsonline.net/threads/emergency-rabbits-outside-in-the-heat.54214/

Different pens for different parts of the day?

My only concern with the balcony is the temperatures, are you currently in Malaysia? It appears to get quite warm there, will they have air conditioning indoors? They will be fine to be moved to different areas. Mine has a crate during the day and a free-roam area both indoors and outdoors...

Did I get a new rabbit too soon?

You are doing great! You care, and that is worth everything. I used to own hedgehogs, I had one that was as friendly as a dog, I cannot tell you what a love he was, when he passed I was a mess, I still have his ashes. No other hedgehog has replaced him on that level, but they all rewarded me...

    Help

Thank you for the suggestion of feeding before bedtime. It seems to be helping and we have removed the plastic hide at nighttime as well. We are filling the hay and pellets full at night, but not removing any leftovers in the morning, so she can snack but not have the bulk of new until bedtime...

Did I get a new rabbit too soon?

Can you replace the tent with something else? I know we can't remove all the negatives, sometimes they just have to learn, but maybe it would help during the time you are sitting with her and spending time with her. I am still learning about rabbits, so it's only 2 cents. :)

    Help

Thank you for this suggestion, our bunny has been clanging around her cage and just this morning I was wondering if I could take her big plastic hide out and just leave the cardboard box house. She has a large dog crate and this cute plastic step-hide-tunnel thing that she loves but at night...

REPOST: Bunny Bonding Woes -- HELP

Maybe put down newspapers, and potty pads under the newspapers (if supervising them, wouldn't leave them alone in the room with potty pads down) around the hotel room? I don't worry so much about the poop but the pee will get into the carpets. Bring a few baby gates you may be able to have...

    New Bunny Owners

Have you seen this product? You mention you have dogs, we have these around our rabbit outdoor yard and they work great! The bunny can't dig out and the pups can't dig in. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Dig-Defence-25-pack-Small-Medium-Animal-Barrier/1000410881 It is a little pricey at first but...

    Talking with your bunny

I talk to mine like I do with the dogs, like a small child I am trying to teach. I greet her in the morning sort of sing-songy voice calling her name. I ask her "whatcha doin'?" I tell her each thing I'm going to do before I do it. "Ok pretty girl, gonna grab your food dish here...." then I...

What are your die-hard rabbit products?

I swear by the high-back corner litter box. "Kaytee Hi-Corner Small Animal Litter Pan, Large, Color Varies" We have our bun in a large dog crate and she is fabulous at using it! It is easy to pop on and off its plastic holders, empty, rinse, and reuse. The metal grate keeps her bottom and...

    Flying with my bun

Sorry I don't have experience with this. My first point of contact would be to check with the airline that you plan to use to find out their rules/restrictions. Have an appropriate sized carrier, as well that meets that specific airline's requirements, they can get very picky about carriers...

Gentle but firm? Bunny resisted being brushed today.

She may lose her coat at 6-7 mos? I'll read up on this, thank you, so I am not freaked out when it happens. Her coat is so gorgeous and she does a GREAT job of cleaning herself I was just noticing some end pieces were matting a bit so I thought I'd do a quick brush out. I'm still looking into...

How much does a vet visit & spay/neuter cost for a Rabbit?

A vet here told my husband $700+ for a doe. I about fell out of my chair! I didn't pay that much for my dogs to be spayed! (DE)

Gentle but firm? Bunny resisted being brushed today.

So far she has been great about everything, being held, brushed, nails clipped, etc. I was told she is 3-4 months old, she is a Lionhead. Today for some reason she was really resisting being brushed. I switched brushes and she settled down a bit but more tolerating than enjoying it like she...

I need to leave my bunny alone!!

Woot that is great! I have a webcam as well, I love seeing my pets all the time, particularly when we travel. I really didn't mean for my post to sound so blunt, I was just concerned that the pet sitter would feel bothered and I know how difficult it can be to find a pet sitter that will do...

I need to leave my bunny alone!!

If you want him to pet sit in the future, video calling every day might be a little excessive. We leave ours and our dogs with a pet sitter (both in home and away at times) and they are fine when we get back, even with the absence. I know it will be difficult for you but you also don't want...
