    gnawing on cage

My rabbit's a little over a year old, and she'sspayed. Just recently she's developed this habit of gnawing on the barsof her cage, in a sort of pulling way. It's very loud and it wakes meup, and she does it constantly throughout the night. It's seriouslyaffecting my sleep and I'm not sure how to...

    can I burn incense?

I'm more concerned about whether or not it wouldbe harmful to her health. I know that rabbits are prone to respiratoryproblems.

    new food

Thanks, The whole "gourmet" thing wasn't my intention, it was a friend whopicked it up for me mistakingly. I decided earlier to just dump thegourmet mix, as she really didn't seem interested in it. So the lungingthing can't be related to the food? Because it only really began afterI switched her...

    new food

I started giving my rabbit new food yesterday, and she isn't really eating it, and she began lunging at me. I used togive her "Extrusions" pellets and she would eat them the second I putthem in her bowl. The new food is a mixture of seeds, cord, vitamins, and pellets. It's a "gourmet mix". I'm...

    pinworm!

I found out the other day that my rabbit has pinworm, and I'm getting the treatment tommorow. I know thisn't a serious problem, although it might affect her nutrition. However, I think I saw some on the worms in her towel and in my bed!! I fear that the worms may be everywhere (in the carpet...

    3 concerns

I'd love to just let her run around down there, but unfortunately that's where I hid all the electrical cords, and I'm afraid she will chew them. Also, it's a bit of a problem if she won't come out, and if I need to leave the house. I let her go underneath my dresser though.

    3 concerns

    1) My 5-month-old lionhead rabbit will NOT stop trying to get under my bed. I have it pretty much blocked off with boxes and clever pillow/blanket placement, yet she always finds some clever way to get under. It is really frustrating, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to...

after the first health exam and bloodwork

Do you think it's too much? I don't mind paying it, because I want to make sure it is done right, but I also thought it would be a lot less. I don't have the estimate with me, but I remember there was a pain-killer injection for afterwards, kidney..something or other, liquids? monitoring..and...

after the first health exam and bloodwork

she's eating, just not as much. She was stressed the day after, but I think she's better now. She is eating more (she ate all her pellets), I was more concerned about the bruise. And the vet is very good, I've been taking other small animals to her for a while. The spay is costing $400...

after the first health exam and bloodwork

I took my 5-month-old rabbit in the other day for her first health inspection (so that I can get her spayed) and she had blood taken. Everything was perfectly healthy, although I think the visit caused her stress, as she hasn't been eating and drinking as much, and she sits in a corner (seems a...

    Twitchy hopping.

I think that's it. I'm not sure exactly. It'smostly when she's hopping. I only saw her do it standing still once ortwice, so I'm not terribly concerned. I guess I'll just watch hercarefully for now. Thanks!

    Twitchy hopping.

I've started noticing her twitching even when she is not hopping. Is this a binky also? or perhaps something else..?
