    Wild Rabbit Nest

This last week I found a rabbit nest inside of our garden boxes. Now that I know it's there, and can watch it from the dinning room window, I see the mama coming and going. She usually sits in front of the box unless my kids are outside. You can see her in the pick. The nest is inside the box by...

    Outdoor Hutch Ideas/Plans

That's basically what their setup looks like now except no wood frame and the top is a tarp. Sorry for the quality of the photo. I went out to get them for the night and decided to take the pic quick. The carrier usually isn't in there, and the tarp usually covers the whole thing. I just flip...

    Outdoor Hutch Ideas/Plans

To clarify: This will only be for when there are several days of nice weather. If there is rain or storms in the forecast, they will still have their space in the house. Same for cold weather. We will take it down and store it in the winter, which is why I want to be able to move it.

    Outdoor Hutch Ideas/Plans

Hello All, We've had our rescue buns (bonded pair) for a couple months and they are doing AWESOME! The cabinet conversion/den conversion has been amazing and they seem to enjoy it. However, they seem when I take them to their outside play space. Running and playing and doing binkies. The two...

Dump, rinse with the hose to get anything still stuck that got around the pee pad, and refill.

    First day litter issues

We have had our bonded pair for around a week now, and they are settled in nicely. However, after I clean the litter box they literally poop and pee EVERYWHERE for 6ish hours. I spend this time cleaning up everything and putting it in the litter box basically whenever I walk past their area...

    Litter box outside

This is probably a super stupid question, but when I take the buns outside, do I need to bring their litter box?

Figured some stuff out. 1. They were totally getting stuck on the middle because I was dumb. The fosters gave me this chew log thing for them and I had it in a bad spot so they couldn't get the angle to jump down. I took it out to clean some stuff and they jumped down right away on their own...

They have apparently had a lot of fruit in the past and Roman, so I was sticking with They have had romane, so I'll stick with that for now. They are still on the middle level and it looks like nothing has been touched on the bottom. I've run into another issue. They were reliably using a...

I actually just read this in your website too, so I'm keeping everyone out of there until Monday. I did put veggies in there tonight, but they aren't eating them. How long should I leave the veggies in there? The bunnies seem to really like that middle level, but haven't gone back down where...

    Single or a pair?

Went with the pair. They are both fixed. The Dutch is Hare-ison and the black is Lola bunny.

They are here! And yes it's they. The Dutch is Hare-ison Ford. And the black is Lola bunny (like from Space Jam). They are a bonded pair. Both fixed. I do have a question though. We have the x pen up, but I put them in the hutch where their litter box and such is with the doors open. They...

    Single or a pair?

For those of you who haven't followed my other thread, I've had a lot of you'd and downs with trying to adopt a bunny. Long story short, we've been approved by a rescue an hour and a half away. We are going to an event tomorrow to meet some buns. In working with the rescue, they suggested a...

I LOVE your conversion! It looks so well done. I'm glad to hear about your buns. With everything everyone has been saying, I was starting to wonder if I was doing the right thing with the hutch. I'm glad it has worked out for you and your buns. On a positive note, we passed our home visit! The...

    Cabinet Conversion Thread

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just wait and see what rabbit we end up with and go from there. I should be able to get some background info and see their current setup or at least get info on it before bringing them home, so I can get flooring they are used to/comfortable with.

    Cabinet Conversion Thread

OMG things have happened this weekend. 1. Finished the hutch. I did decide to put the doors on. I just needed it to be complete. I still need to get stuff to fill it and like actual supplies, but the construction is done. 2. This is how I plan to arrange the x pen. Will this be big enough...

    Cabinet Conversion Thread

I didn't realize it was 2, but I was planning on putting ours in an L opposite the wall, if that makes sense. So in the square that is their area, 2 sides would be the actual corner/wall of the room, and the other 2 would be the x pen. The hutch would be in the corner and not actually attached...

    Cabinet Conversion Thread

Does this seem unreasonable? I can't tell if I'm just being overly emotional or if it is just dumb. Here is the image she sent me of a "proper setup" It's smaller then what they would have with the hutch and x pen, and I'm not comfortable using those foam pieces because so many people have had...
