    When and how to vacuum?

Poor bun. Does he get upset/excited only when you vacuum in your room or does it happen at any time he hears the vacuum (when you vacuum the hall near the bedroom doorway, etc.)? Maybe you can run it more often in the other rooms so he can hear it more distantly and then gradually do it more...

Help, my Mother in-law is coming and my bunny cage smells the house......

I have a similar setup with my buns - male & female in separate cages in the same room. I keep an air purifier running pretty much 24/7 right near their cages and this entirely removes any & all trace of scent. I also use Nature's Miracle for cleaning. My male mini lop Oreo did NOT appreciate...

HOW TO STOP BUNNY FROM RATTLING HIS CAGE

One of my rabbits (our mini lop Oreo) does this. He's very smart and does it specifically when he wants attention, food, water, etc. We've used the spray bottle in the past, too, and it's worked for us. Now I just have to show it to him and he recognizes what it is and stops for a while at...

Beside ourselves, need help with this decision PLEASE.....

That's a tough situation. Personally I'd go with the specialist's opinion. I can understand why you want to spay her now, but it seems like her eye is the more pressing issue, and technically she can survive without the spay surgery for a while (although it's not convenient of course for you)...

    Hi Everyone!

Hello! I'm new to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself and my 2 buns. I had bunnies over the years as a child, but this is the first time as an adult I've had rabbits and it's definitely a new experience! These 2 sweeties actually belong to my son, but as he left a few months ago to go...

    Dirty bunny... Need advice!

Oreo actually had a dirty bum when he went in for his neutering, and I was very surprised after his surgery to see that they hadn't removed the mats in that area during the surgery. It seems more hygienic, especially considering that the poor bun developed an infection down there post-op and I...

    Dirty bunny... Need advice!

That's very good to know (about the submitting part)! The vet was doing this in order to get a look at his incisions after his surgery, and she said that it was fine to do when I need to clip his nails (which he won't let me do with any ease). I don't want to traumatize the poor rabbit! Most...

    Dirty bunny... Need advice!

I have 2 buns, 1 male mini lop (2.5 years old) named Oreo and 1 English spot (< 1 year) named Zelda. Both belong to my son, who has gone off to college this fall, and so I'm now their primary caregiver. Zelda has no problems, but Oreo has a special bond with my son and hasn't been the same since...
