I’m confused, gi stasis or what is happening?!

Any particular reason why you don't feed your rabbit leafy greens regularly??

Something's wrong with my bunny (hasn't pooped/eaten hay all day). Vet trip needed?

Ok your rabbit needs lots and lots of hay. Is he drinking water? If not, try syringe-feeding him some purified water. As long as he is eating and pooping he will be ok for now, but he really needs to eat hay, he needs the fiber from hay. If he wants grass, keep feeding him grass but make sure...

Two different antibiotics? Do you have any Cisapride at home? Or other gut-motility medication? Simethicone gas drops? Have you called the vet and told them how your rabbit is acting?? How long has this been going on?? I'm worried for your bun. Is he eating ANY hay??? How are poops...

Something's wrong with my bunny (hasn't pooped/eaten hay all day). Vet trip needed?

Ugh that is very unfortunate that you do not have control of whether they receive proper care or not. It must be frustrating for you to be in that situation. Maybe you can try to educate your parents on how fragile bunnies are and how their health can go downhill VERY quickly.. especially...

Please throw that pineapple in the trash! That is not healthy for rabbits. I STRONGLY suggest purchasing dried Pineapple that has NO other ingredients. You can easily find affordable options on Etsy. TheWellKeptRabbit is a shop I personally love and trust 100%. Added sugar in the Pineapple will...

Why did your mom need to “give” the rabbits hay??? They should have a huge amount of hay available at ALL TIMES! Very important!

Terrified to leave my rabbit for vacation

By the way my exotic vet is on the HRS list too, so I do trust them. They are really the only exotic vet within at least a 60-mile radius from where I live, and they are only a quick 10-min drive from home. But I know they will be busy and wont have eyes on him all hours of the day, and will...

Terrified to leave my rabbit for vacation

samoth, Thanks so much for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I know he will be in good care with his exotic vets and they will definitely be able to notice if he is showing any signs of health issues and will know what to do/have the resources or meds needed in case...

Terrified to leave my rabbit for vacation

I am so scared to leave my rabbit for a week but am forced to go on a week long vacation with my family (who already booked AND paid for everything, and did not even ask me if I wanted to go). So because of that I am now obligated to go and I don't even want to, if it means possibly putting my...

Advice on flooring for xpen enclosure

Use a basic flat sheet if you have to, Twin size works best for me, I use puzzle mats over the carpet, replacement crate mat for dog kennel where his litter box & water dish goes, then a waterproof bed pad and a sheet over top. The rest of his pen has memory foam mats wrapped in fleece, but...

Weird thing found in rabbits hair

Might just be dry skin... but the best thing you can do is have your bunny checked out by a rabbit-savvy vet!!! Only they will know for sure... The sooner the better I'd say. Then if it IS just dry skin, you will have peace of mind that its not something much worse. good luck and keep us updated!

    Neutering help

I live right on the Ohio/Michigan border, by Lake Erie. Every vet is different. But I have called around recently and the cheapest I found is around $220 for regular vet who has special interest in Rabbits, with over $500 being the highest that I found (that price is for a strict exotic-only...
