    Pattern in rabbit kit ear

Oh ok, in the years I’ve been raising rabbits I haven’t come across anything like this before. I guess I have a new page to add to my mental rabbit encyclopedia Lol Thank you!

    Pattern in rabbit kit ear

I have a 3 week old rabbit kit that looks like it has patches on the inside of the ears? I’ve only seen this one other time in a previous litter, but the baby was a fader and died at 5 weeks old. I have pictures of the 3 week old attached. So if anyone has an idea to what this is, I’m super...

    What is my bunny's breed?

Definitely not a Netherland Dwarf, she might be a mix with some Netherland Dwarf in her but I’m seeing predominantly Lionhead. You know if they are part Lionhead if they have a mane :)

    Registering question

@SableSteel I have a picture of his pedigree here. There are some weights missing on his dam’s side too but I will contact the breeder about it. Yes I am a member of the ARBA and he is over 6 months. I can’t find any DQ’s but that is up to the registrar!

    Rabbit behavior

Sounds like you have a teenage bunny with an increase in hormones :) Rabbits will reach a hormonal peak around 5/6 months and they can act strangely like humping and acting more aggressive/energetic. It’s especially noticeable in bucks as they tend to try to pee and mount everything lol. As...

    Registering question

Hi there! I am attending a rabbit show soon, and I would like to try and register one of my bucks. I am new to showing and to registering. Everything I have read says that the rabbit has to have a full pedigree, including colors, weights, ear numbers, and names of all the ancestors on the...

    Near genital of female

I think that bunny is actually a boy, and what you are seeing are his male parts.

    Aggressive Female to Male

It sounds like the female is extremely territorial, I have one just like that lol. Males and females actually get along the best. Are you looking to bond them so they can share the same cage? Or just to get along?

    Breeding harlequin colored rabbits?

this question is for anyone who understands rabbit genetics and colors, because I certainly don’t lol. I would appreciate any feedback! I am receiving a lovely Japanese lilac harlequin Netherland Dwarf buck, and I would like to know what colors would work best to breed either more harlequin or...

What will the babies look like?

@Mini Rex Rabbiters MN your bunnies look absolutely lovely! I have a blue Magpie mini Rex and I absolutely adore him! (Although I have to house him outside because he sprays urine.) Whenever I look for a new breeding rabbit I use http://www.ephiny.net/tim/pedigrees/color_calc.php to determine...

5 wk old not eating pellets

She will also nibble on banana. I tried the pellet/water mush and she seemed to like it more than the goat milk esbilac I have fed her. She is almost half the size of her siblings, and I’m thinking she may be a runt? She’s not a peanut because her sire is a false Dwarf and her body is correctly...

5 wk old not eating pellets

@JBun thanks for the info! I will definitely try the pellet mush. For the past couple days, I have been syringe feeding her powdered goats esbilac, but she doesn’t seem to like it too much. She has also nibbled on grass, strawberry, apple and celery when I have given it to her dam.

5 wk old not eating pellets

I have a five week old Netherland Dwarf doe that just doesn’t want to eat rabbit pellets. I see her eating hay from time to time, but not pellets. Her littermates are all eating them and are very healthy. I feed pellets that I buy in bulk and all the other bunnies I have had and do have eat...

    Bunny sickness?

Thanks for the help, I will look into getting him better care, I’m sorry if I came off as someone who is stand-offish, in denial, or even aloof. I’m not, I just want to make sure no one is trying to make me paranoid or for me to take him to the vet if it was something minor. Thanks for the...

Oops litter. Colors of bunny offspring?

@Blue eyes i have been breeding rabbits for years with no problems. If it does come down to somthing very serious the vet is always an option, it’s just they are hard to find In my area, and I don’t have the funds to run to the vet all the time.

    Bunny sickness?

I did consider that pets can and will get sick. I’m just not able to take him to a rabbit specialized vet in my area. I would rather do anything I can for him at home. And I don’t like this feeling where people seem to be INSISTING to me it’s snuffles and that I should hand him over to someone...

    Possible bunny offspring?
