Briar losing weight-vet says possible Coccidia? I'm worried about my girl

So it ended up being $56 for a two-week treatment. I got prescribed Ponazuril like JBun said. .5ml every 24 hours for 14 days. I was able to pay for it thankfully and just finished scrubbing her pen, cleaning her litterbox, and giving her her first dose. I just want to squeal a bit because I...

Briar losing weight-vet says possible Coccidia? I'm worried about my girl

I want to add that aside from being underweight and the high liver count I haven't noticed any issues with her. She still has energy and is affectionate as usual, eats fine, her poop seems to be normal, I didn't even notice a different until I saw how much her spine showed when she laid a...

Briar losing weight-vet says possible Coccidia? I'm worried about my girl

There is a form that affects the liver. She is about a year and a half old. And he didn't do the fecal exam at first he just did a simple exam but I want to call him tomorrow to ask him about the cost of the medicine and I can see if its somethin I could do for cheap just to make sure

Briar losing weight-vet says possible Coccidia? I'm worried about my girl

So I took Briar into the vet because I noticed one day that she had gotten thin very quickly, despite having a great appetite and no issues going to the bathroom. After an exam he said she looked fine on every other count. Her teeth and coat looked fine, she ate for him when he put down some...

    Diet should be 80% hay?

My vet told me that giving Briar bits of veggies often are good, as much hay as she wants, and then at most like 1/4th cup of pellets but that she doesnt even need those. I'm suddenly worried that I'm doing things wrong.

    Hello (New Here)

Welcome! My Briar is super affectionate as well, her favourite thing to do is to tell me I am spending too much time on my computer by coming over, hopping onto the keyboard, and nudging my hand until I scritch between her ears. Bunnies are so precious <3 I'm actually looking into getting mine...

I believe it was yours! the tutorial helped a lot And I am veryy happy to report that the new setup is perfect for her. No mess anywhere else in her pen. Got a plain plastic litter pan, feline pine pellets, the screen, and over that some hay with the bale set up by the bars so she can...

    Rabbit litter advice/covered litter pan

Pine pellets have been kiln dried so they don't contain the toxic gunk from them, and I have set up a plastic screen to go on her litterbox which will then have hay over it. When I get everything set up I'll probably post a picture of her pen since it will finally be finished <3 Im going to...

    Rabbit litter advice/covered litter pan

Yeah if shavings and hay will work then I'm not as worried about making it so secure I just wanted to make sure if I needed to use something she couldn't accidentally nibble on that she would be safe Thank you guys for the help! I ordered a pretty big litter tray and some plastic pet screen

    Rabbit litter advice/covered litter pan

So I'm going to be making Briar a litter pan screen so that I can use proper litter. I had switched to just layering hay because she had previously dug out anything I used. Now I've got a plan to make the screen out of pet screen like I'd seen in a thread on here, but the way I'm going to do...

Shaking her pen in the middle of the night

So Briar sleeps in an xpen and when I am awake and not at work she gets free-roam of my bedroom. (Though I would love to rabbit-proof my room enough that I would feel comfortable leaving her be) In the pen she has her litterbox, a cardboard box with paper bedding that she can chew and burrow...

    Small, dark coloured poop

She doesnt really dig out the hay it's the litter she would play in. I tried using plain newspaper, paper pellets, and that carefresh stuff and all of it Briar would dig out onto the floor @-@ Hay is the only thing she leaves in the litterbox

Do rabbits *need* other rabbits to be happy?

Thank you, she doesn't seem to be mopey or anything and is loves to run around and cuddle up to me so she's probably fine. I may try to see if she will bond with my moms rabbit after they've both been neutered/spayed (and time after he's been neutered don't worry) and if they get along I may...

Do rabbits *need* other rabbits to be happy?

So I accidentally posted an album of Briar pics to Imgur on public when I'd meant to make it private. Got lots of really nice comments, but one person chastised me for not having a second rabbit for her to be with, telling me that rabbits are not happy unless they have another rabbit friend...

    Small, dark coloured poop

So while Briar was freeroaming today, I noticed that her poop was small and darker than usual. Google says this can be GI stasis or a sign of not enough fiber/hay. I went away for the weekend and I think my mom may not have given her hay while I was gone and I was wondering if that could be...

    Lionhead/rex huge hairball

I did notice Briar padding the little area around where they've been sleeping, and I guess I had just never questioned the petstore when they said that Briar was a male... but nope I just checked and you're right Briar is actually a ladybun! Thank you for the help Now I feel kind of bad for...
