Red, flaky skin near chin/neck area

Hi there! I have a 1 year old Holland Lop male named Toby. He was on my lap today and something like a leaf was on his face and I was taking it off and I noticed he was losing fur. I took a deeper look and noticed there was a large area of missing fur under his chin/neck area. It’s quite red...

Potential Bee Sting near Scent gland

Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it. I apologize for the terrible quality of the photos as though Toby was not in the mood to be photographed. Lol! Trying to keep things in a good light considering I'm very worried at the moment. The puss is yellow but it's not liquid-like it's more...

Potential Bee Sting near Scent gland

UPDATE: I'm thinking maybe infected whisker? Is that a thing? I'm seeing a lot of yellow puss ejecting from the whisker area.

Potential Bee Sting near Scent gland

I have a holland lop, Toby, who's turning one in a week. I cleaned his cage on Tuesday and left him in my backyard in his cage fencing (he's usually on my balcony) for the rest of the day, overnight, and all of today and I just came home and noticed he had matted, wet fur on his left cheek. I...

    Not as many poops

He wasn't drinking water and he wasn't eating he was just running around and I picked him up and he had a wet chin... I'm thinking that it could possibly be dental problems?

    Not as many poops

Sorry I'm new to the forum... update: Toby has been running around for a couple hours now and I picked him up because I was going to putt him away and I notice under his mouth area/chin it's totally wet. I'm extremely concerned now... I looked it up and could it possibly be ptyalism?

    Not as many poops

I also have a picture of the small poops vs the normal poops in a separate thread...

    Not as many poops

As for the chewing he has a little wooden hidey house that he chews on but he's been doing that. And drooling wise, several days ago I noticed his mouth was overly wet and I assume that was drooling because we were in a heated car, but it went away fairly quickly and he hasn't had it since.

    Not as many poops

Yes, Toby is fed an unlimited amount of Timothy hay from a feeder attached to the side of the cage where his litter box is, so none of it is wasted. He usually finishes a completely full feeder by the end of the day but the last time I refilled it I completely stuffed it so he still has some...

    Not as many poops

My 7 month old holland lop, Toby has recently started eating less. I noticed he naturally reduced his pellet intake which is alright because he was being fed 1/2 cup every night but now we're transitioning to 1/4 cup, but I noticed he's also pooping less and what he is pooping seems to be tinier...

    Not as many poops

Ever since his poops have been smaller he's been flopping more... is this normal? I'm starting to think it may be something more.

Thank you so much! Also he is only 7 months so is 1/4 cup of pellets enough or should is wait till he's older?

When is the best time to get him neutered?

Hello everyone! I have a 7 month old holland lop named Toby. I was wondering when I should get him neutered and what the process is like. From what I've read, you can get them neutered as early as 6 months and as late as 2 years. Is this true? Thank you for all your opinions & advice in advance.

    Not as many poops

I'm glad to hear it doesn't sound like stasis... he has been moulting but not heavily only a few clumps here and there. Honestly, I don't brush him that much and I'm really trying to get in the habit. Should I introduce veggies immediately or wait for his poops to go back to their normal size...

    overweight bunny? pellets?

Is it okay if I start giving him 1/4 immediately or should I transition some how? I also have another question... he's never been fed fruits or veggies and I'm not sure if you saw the thread I started but he's had small poops starting yesterday he's eating both hay and pellets and drinking water...

    overweight bunny? pellets?

Isn't he too young though? I read that under one year should be fed 1/2 or unlimited and my breeder told me that as well...

    overweight bunny? pellets?

Since my bunny is so young I feed him 1/2 cup of pellets every night, do you think this may be too much and the cause of his tiny poops? I was planning on cutting back to 1/4 cup of pellets every night when he turned one, but should I do it now? Recommendations? Please keep in mind he is only 7...
