    New companion suggestions

Definitely get her spayed before any introductions. Introducing two adult rabbits when one isn't altered is a recipe for disaster, as their hormones are much too strong. Females are often territorial and aggressive toward new bunnies.

Considering a new bunny- breed decisions

As Blue eyes already explained, adopting an adult is the only way to guarantee personality. Buns that enjoy being held are few and far between- it's natural for a prey animal to be lifted off the ground. Moreover, small rabbits are, in general, more energetic than the larger breeds, and you're...

    Dealing with disapproving parents

That's definitely not always true. I have had two successful M/M/F trios from completely different backgrounds, and I assume two that were raised together would be even easier. Regarding the rotation, I am able to give both my pair and my single 12 hours of free range each day, so that really...

    Dealing with disapproving parents

That's true that I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I don't understand what the difference between 4 and 5 is. And I know that they will be a part of my future. Just to be clear, I have the green light on a fourth- it's the fifth that they're discouraging. I'm not that...

    Dealing with disapproving parents

I have three buns now- a bonded M/F pair and a single girl named Juneau who recently lost her husbun. I have been shopping around for a new companion for her as she is nervous and definitely benefits from companionship. I fell in love with a couple of 8 week old boys I saw on a craigslist ad...

    Anyone Use Probiotics?

I use benebac for bunnies that are new or are coming off surgery or any type of illness. I have no way of knowing if it works, but I have also heard of it being beneficial so I use it regardless, and none of my buns or fosters have had any issues with gut flora.

Worried about my Angora Bunny during Shedding Season

I'd be careful about the furminator- it has been recalled more than once for literally tearing skin on bunnies and removing way more fur than necessary. Yes, you can be careful, but if your bun makes a sudden movement, it could be disastrous. I would say using a slicker brush is your best bet...

    Holland Color

I was also going to say chocolate tort, but since her eyes are gray, she looks more like a lilac tort. That being said, she isn't as dilute as most, so she could very well be chocolate with the wrong color eyes.

    Bonding two spayed females

I am in the same boat as you but have successfully bonded females in the past- it can definitely work if you take the necessary steps and are patient. Ultimately, the method you choose will all depend on how they act around one another. What I have found to work is doing a short initial...
