    Snugglesafe Heat Pad

When we had to keep our orphans warm, this was a lifesaver. I don't think that Dora would have survived by herself for her first month without a snugglesafe keeping her warm. She sat on that thing night and day and got angry when we took it to warm it back up. Just be careful when heating it. If...

    Announcement!!!

OK, so I said I would get a better vid of Dora. The current one I have not been able to lighten sufficiently, so I shot a new one tonight. This one has her tearing around as she normally does (can you follow the bouncy bunny?), happily poking and exploring, and in the beginning almost falling...

    Announcement!!!

Here it is. It was a bugger to load up onto the internet for some reason. We tried to cut it shorter, but the programs that we use to do that were not working with us. View My Video Wow I just watched the uploaded video and it got even darker than it was. It is almost impossible to see her...

    Announcement!!!

I have decided to tag Dora "the Fearless". Today on her run of the house she was wary of sounds and the cats, but didn't fear them one bit. When introduced to Fey (didn't go well) she exhibited no signs of fear when Fey batted at her and calmly pulled a tuff from Fey then immediately kept...

    Announcement!!!

Bo B Bunny- I am 100% positive that Dora is not a wild bunny. She is a britiania petite mixed with netherland dwarf. The differences between her and the eastern cottontail are subtle, yet profound. Wild cottontails have very little variation from rabbit to rabbit. There are minor differences in...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Dora is doing good in the intestines department, but now her left ear is watering something fierce. I alos think it itches since she scratched at it a couple times. I set up a vet appointment for them to look at it. The appointment is in three hours, but both angela and I will have to run to...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

I got up from the computer to check on her and found her begging at the bars for out. So I brought her to her play area and let her run for a few minutes ( I didn't want to let her run too long with all that has happened and right now is diarehea time. Its the same time every morning and I would...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

As soon as I woke up I went and prodded her out of her sleep spot, she went to eat hay and the critical care I gave her, then took a drink. She then went back to her sleep spot, pushed around the new papertowels I put in her absense until they made a bowl again, cleaned herself, and laid down...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

She is still doing her bunny stuff. Just a bit wobbly and tired seeming at times, but she is pretty doped up on pain meds. We are thinking that there is no reason to give up on her. Unless something wierd pops up, we are figuring on fighting it out with her.

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

We decided to wait and see how the next 20 hours work out. We believe that if she has a chance at a decent life, then we don't want to deny it from her just because of 2 days of the worst headache you can have. As we see it, though the headache will be bad, it will pass and that isn't enough of...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Came home quick to see her between clients. She has a lot of close to normal poop fresh in the cage. All semi-firm and not sticky. She ate a lot more grass since you left and is chowing down on critical care/milk mix right now (she won't eat just critical care right now, but as soon as I mixed a...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Update: Dora has another bout of direaha. We took her to the vet and they checked her stool and are having us give antibiotics for three days and anti-coccedia for ten. She is eating really well still, drinking some, and moving around, but you can tell she is uncomfortable sometimes. We'll have...

    Never Forget

My friend lost her uncle at the Pentagon. He was in a meeting right where the plane crashed. They never found anything to bury. :tears2:

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Update. Doing good. Is eating and loves the mixture of milk and critical care that is her main food right now. We decided to mix the two and slowly decrease the amount of milk in it over time as our way of weening her from the milk. Also loves her wide bladed grass too. Very active during play...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

She is too loveable for my own good! I am such a nervous wreck as soon as I am away from her, wondering if she is starting to get sick again while I'm not there. I cross my fingers and get filled with anxiety as I get home and enter her room. Then I find her ok and scoop her up to carry her...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Just got back from an appointment with our regular vet. Dora is doing good. He saud she has the right amount of hydration right now and that she should be old enough to start the weaning process. I was a little worried about her not peeing for over twenty-four hours, but she peed after the vet...

UPDATE motherless babies... at my house

Dora is still here and strong enough to squirm during feeding. Only got about 1cc of milk in her in the last two hours, but I did get most of the milk that I laced with a cecal from the other bunnies into her. I hope it helps her. Vet opens in one hour, hopefully they can get her in soon. Oh...
