    Bunny making unusual noise!

Thanks everyone! She's not showing any signs of being in pain and she usually only runs towards me when she's excited to see me or I have a treat so I'm thinking it must be excitement! Bless her :)

    Bunny making unusual noise!

Hi everybun! Haven't posted in a while, but I need some advice! My splayed girl who is 11 months old, has recently started making a snorting noise whenever she runs. Most of the time it's when she's running towards me. She's only been doing it for a couple of weeks, and you can only hear it...

    Mirror Bunny

Thanks for your replies! She is actually scratching the mirror more than she licks it. I swear she thinks it's a bunny friend! The licking looks like she is attempting to groom this mysterious new bunny reflection. When she licked the shower, it was when her reflection was showing. It's a...

    Mirror Bunny

Hi there, My bun has started licking and scratching the floor length mirror in my room, as well as my glass shower door. Could she think it's another rabbit? Sign of boredom or loneliness? Thanks

    Keeping rabbits warm??

Hi there, Here in Australia is starting to get chilly and I was wondering how I can keep my little girl warm in winter... Is it something I need to worry about or do they stay warm because of their fur? She doesn't sleep in a cage she has free roam of my bedroom and bathroom so I'm not sure...

    Spraying rabbit??

Hi there, my girl is nearly 6 1/2 months old and she is booked in to get neutered in a fortnight. I'm worried that she may be spraying urine now that she is older than 6 months... How can you tell if a rabbit is spraying? She spends most of the day under my bed and I'm worried that she's...

Thanks everyone! Sounds like I should just enjoy how much she loves me!

Can rabbits eat romaine (cos) lettuce? Red and green lettuce?

If you're in Melbourne like me, try buying some Chinese broccoli and Bol Choy from an Asian grocer or fruit shop. It's super cheap and stays fresh for ages if it's in a container in the fridge. Make sure you wash it though! My bunny LOVES both and I give her 2 leaves of bock Choy and a big...

    Needy bun

Hi all. My bun is now about 5 months old and has still not been spayed (1 month to go). From all the research I've done its my understanding that rabbits can be very choosy when it comes to receiving attention from humans and sometimes like to be left alone, not touched or not cuddled...

    Grooming/Licking: Love or comuplsive behavior?

My bun is very similar! I've never actually timed her because I usually distract her after about 60 seconds anyway. Mine loves my legs, it's summer here in Australia so I'm always in shorts and she will just keep licking my legs until I stop her. I think it's normal... Our buns must just really...

Ways to encourage rabbit to eat more hay?

I would think maybe he knows he's going to get yummy food off you so didn't bother with the hay? I find that if my bun hasn't been chewing her hay, the next day she doesn't get her fresh stuff until night time so she has no choice but to nibble on hay. I also find that my bun prefers to be...

    Peeing out of Litter tray!

It's definitely got more colour to it than her pees inside the litter box. She's only 4 months old so maybe it is the hormones starting. She never does it anywhere else only next to the litter tray which is the part I find odd. I've taken out the wood pellets to see if they were the reason...

    Peeing out of Litter tray!

I've very recently upgraded her tray to fit her but I don't think that's the problem because she doesn't even jump in. It's not as if she's in and thinks she's doing it in her tray, she just doesn't even hop in and pees right next to it. Maybe she is being lazy! I've tried moving the litter tray...

    Peeing out of Litter tray!

Hi All, My bun has been perfectly litter trained for over 6 weeks now (has had a total of about 5 accidents out of litter box since being trained). However yesterday I came home and found a big puddle (definitely not just one wee) just outside the litter tray. I had run out of wood pellets...

    Rubber mats?

Hi Jax, I also live in an apartment with wooden floors and tiled bathrooms. My bun spends most of her time in my room which is carpeted but hates slipping and sliding across the hall to the bathroom where her litter tray, food and water is. My simple solution has been the rubber you put inside...

    Dry flaky skin after injection

No fur loss! I have to search through her fur to find the area... Seeing my vet next week will have to ask her! Yours looks like what I was told to expect from the vaccination... more fur loss than I would have been expecting though

    Dry flaky skin after injection

My bun was vaccinated about 3 weeks ago and she still has little flakes of dry skin on her neck, near the base of her ear. There was a little red scab about a week ago which has since gone and I thought this might have been where the needle went in. However the flaky skin is still there!

    Digging on my lap??

Oh good! That's easily fixed! Thank you

    Digging on my lap??

Hi all! I was visiting a friend who I should mention has cats, and my Gnocchi bun was happily exploring the couch while I was sitting next to her, after about 15 minutes she came over to me and started biting my dress and digging in my lap. I kept moving her and she would come back and dig and...

    Slimy poo!?!?

I'm really not sure, it was a very small puddle and she usually does much bigger pees. It looked as though it had an oily texture, I didn't touch it with my fingers... Probably should have! She's also done a couple of tear drop shaped poo and a couple of egg shaped poo since then. She was...
