    UTI/ bladder infection

I have been told by the vet that Daisy needs to drink lots of water as she has a UTI. However, she isn't drinking much... has anybody got ideas on how they get their buns to drink more? She has a bowl as isn't keen on the bottle and watery veg. Has anybody tried a bit of Ribena/ elderflower, she...

    Red urine from female rabbit

Vet has confirmed it is blood in urine, but thankfully I have spotted it very early. It is either ovarian cysts or bladder stones. Daisy will be x rayed for bladder stones and will have them removed if so. If there is no bladder stones, she will be spayed to remove the cysts. Very glad I took...

    Red urine from female rabbit

Urine today has orange as well that looks like a pigment? Daisy had a little carrot yesterday which I've heard can cause it? It also looks rather cloudy, so maybe she's getting too much calcium? However I'm still planning on getting the urine tested in case. I would hate for there to be...

    Red urine from female rabbit

She seems fine in herself, but still lots of red in urine. Sometimes it's even completely red. Could it be dehydration as she isn't drinking all that much water? Thinking of going to the vets just in case. I really wish they were spayed when they were younger, but it wasn't widely available for...

I have read red spots at the end of urinating can be serious and this is what she has been doing. What do you think? Photo attached.

    Dust free hay

Looking for a hay that's as dust free as possible (preferably not too expensive). I'm very allergic to dust and my bun will be having to live in my bedroom when we move house (not enough space elsewhere other than dining room). Thanks.

    Blood in urine

Hi my 7 almost 8 yearly old girl has had a bit of blood in her urine for what seems years. She's very happy in herself as a single house bunny after very sadly her sister passed away recently from a stroke. It hasn't really concerned me before as I just thought it was red pigment, but after an...

    Blood in urine

I've just found a patch of what looks like to be urine with blood in it? Any ideas what could be wrong or why there's blood in the urine? Both bunnies are acting, eating, drinking fine. Not sure 100% who it was but I do have a suspect. Any help would be really appreciated, thank you!

    Anti-fly repellant

Could anybody recommend me a good rabbit fly repellent spray/ substance? I have just bought the Johnson's one from Pets At Home but was wondering what other brands people recommend? Fly repellent works excellently on the horses just hoping for the same results with the rabbits! Thank you...

    Overweight Holland Lop

Hi, hope the photo helps! The best way to cut down weight, is to slowly reduce their pellets (in my opinion). It's good to weigh your bun regularly for any sudden weight loss indicating poor health. However he could just be big build so I think it's best to feel him and match him up to the...

Right levels of calcium in Readigrass?

I'm buying a healthy (daily) "treat hay" to vary the buns diet a bit, but have heard it has too much calcium despite Readigrass claiming the calcium levels are good (picture attached)? Is this really the case? Could I feed a little daily?

    Coccidiosis in rabbits?

Thank you this really helps, we let them free run the garden too since we have no predators and they have been fine for six years. Don't live near farm animals so I'm not worried, we do have horses but they don't get it. They're indoor buns so don't have contact with wild animals. Thank you once...
