    Beans

Beans was my very first French Angora and it only took a minute to realize that I would be falling in love with the breed. She was lovingly nicknamed "wide load" as she is the biggest rabbit I've ever had. Tipping the scales at just under 10lbs, she is the sweetest rabbit and a great mother.

    Captain Marshmallow

Captain Marshmallow is an English Angora. He has a grandsire who is a3-leg champ who is currently tearing up the Japanese show circuit [family is very important to Captain Marshmallow]he is bffs with our Italian greyhound and loves celery and apple slices. When he's not out rolling in the garden...

    Naaaaaaaame Thaaaaaaat Breeeeeeed!

So, I picked up a pair of "French Angoras" the other day, out of horrendous living conditions, shaved them up and gave them baths, ear mite treatment, and vitamins. They are very very skinny, and I'm not sure of age, the "owner" [I use quotations because if I could beat this dirtbag within...

    Nesting behavior when not mated?

Will a non-bred doe nest for no reason other than you gave her a nesting box? I'm unsure that my doe actually bred though she was with my buck for a few hours. I palated and didn't feel anything, she's not any fatter and no colostrum coming in but I gave her a box for giggles and she immediately...

    Rescue Bunny 911

I picked up a bun at auction last weekend....thinking that he'll just have a nice, spoiled forever home at our farm. He was listed as a French Angora Buck, but his coloring doesn't match...not that he's going to be part of my breeding program, but just because I don't like when people label...

What age do you tattoo your babies?

I've got 2 of my 4 kits sold already. Deposit is made, non-breeding agreement is signed...just waiting for them to wean and ensure they're eating and drinking well on their own. This is the first time working with papered rabbits and actually tattooing them. The buyer is getting them...

Our Buck Is Not Breeding Properly...

I'm not sure what's going on with him. When I put him and Beans together last month, he mounted, did his thing and fell off with a squeak. I put him with her again the past week, just waiting for her to accept him and he's mounting, doing his thing, but no grand finale? Has anyone...

    xXx Breeding Day! xXx

Wish me luck. I'm going to try and put my two together today. St. Patrick's Day, so hopefully a little luck of the Irish will be on our side :) Fingers crossed it goes, and then 31 days from now we have bald little kits!

Does anyone use a blower for their buns?

I have angoras and have been looking into getting a blower [I groom every 2 days and while I love it, it takes forever lol] I was reading that using a blower can cut down grooming time. Does anyone use one? Are they worth the money? What brand do you have? Would you recommend it? Thank you!

    What's the wait time...

For a spontaneous abortion, reabsorption or false pregnancy. Is there anything I can give her to help with her hormones? Because there aren't any babies, and she's acting like there are and they'll be here soon [we had an ultrasound yesterday to confirm the vets and my own opinion] When...

    My First Hutch

Looked online and was shocked that a good quality [not that cheap cedar board with spray sand roof type] hutch would run me close to 700$ for a double! Figured I could make one with some scrap lumber I had laying around. Will definitely be making a second one now that I've worked all of...

    Recommendations On A Blower?

I need a blower for my bunnies...I don't mind brushing them by hand, but a blower would be extra convenient, I'd also like them to get used to the noise of one. Does anyone have recommendations on a decent brand [I'm not looking for top of the line, think...middle of the road lol]

    Hello All!

I'm new to bunny forums! My husband and I run a small homestead in Eastern North Carolina with chickens, ducks, pigeons, parrots and rabbits. I have two French Angora rabbits [Beans & Peabody] Whom I picked up at auction late last year and were skinny, mite infested wrecks of bunnies...are...

Day 33, Nest Built, Milk Flowing, No Labour

Hello All! I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I'm hopping from foot to foot with impatience at the moment. I've bred English Angora rabbits for the past 5 or so years, I got out of it briefly when I got married but recently picked it back up accidentally as I felt compelled...
