    Neutered on Monday...missing litterbox today...

Stewie got his neuter operation Monday, he is acting totally normal today But he has missed his litterbox with pee twice today, I was shocked to see two puddles in his room! He was 100% pee trained before the operation. Should I call the vet or not worry? I cleaned it up with white vinegar so...

Stewie had his neutering surgery yesterday...

He is almost 100% back to normal today, thank goodness!! I was suprised when I went to pay, as I was quoted $350.00 and was only charged $215.00. I asked them if that charge was correct as I was quoted much more and they said it was so that was a nice suprise. The vet and vet techs took great...

    Rabbit Lady on Dr. Phil.....

Anyone see the show? She had 10 rabbits and treated them like her children, she dressed them up in clothes, had them wear diapers, and even tried to Breast Feed one of them! She was a bit "out there" but diid take good care of them even though she went overboard IMO.

    Bunnies are Expensive!!!

But sooooo worth it! I put aside money each week for pet spending (food, upkeep, supplies, toys) and come to find out my 4 month old Flemish Giant is my most expensive pet thusfar. He has a vet visit next week just for a new bunny check up which will run $65, his neutering will be at least $350...

Timothy Hay set outside for wild bunny....

Do you think it is okay to set out Timothy hay for our resident wild bunny? We see him eating birdfood out from under our feeders almost every morning and since there is so much snow I wondered if setting out some Timothy for him would be good, since food is pretty scarce at this point.

    The invisible bunny shield!

So, we have had Stewie our Flemmy baby for almost 3 weeks now, he is doing great and loves us all (including the dog and bird!). The only quirk he has is he stays in his room when we let him out of his x pen, and will not, even with bribery (a baby carrot piece or a yummy piece of lettuce) leave...

Stewie gave me my first lovie licks today!!

It went like this, I was scratching him under his chin, he started licking my hand, my son was watching and I told him I was getting licks on my hand! Lick lick lick.......SNEEZE!! Right in my hand.....gross but extreamly funny for some reason (my son found it extreamly hysterical!). Even bunny...

How long do rabbits have their baby coat?

Stewie is soooooo soft but due to the fact that he is only 12 weeks old I know this is his baby coat, when will he start getting his "big boy" coat?

Am I pushing him too much?

We brought home our 11 week old Flemish Giant Saturday and he has been very good with potty training and letting me pet him and feed him out of my hand (some of his pellets) but has tried to bite on occasion. I noticed he was a bit "mouthy" at the breeders but he didn't actually bite just little...

Baby Flemish Giant chewed part of a yoga mat!!

I had the mat on top of our hardwood floor incase he missed the litterbox peeing. He is 100% pee trained so I probably should have taken it up but didn't and I just noticed a spot maybe 6"x2" where he chewed up the very top layer of the mat (did not go all the way through). He must have...

Is 3 months too early for neutering?

We picked up Stewie on Saturday, he is 11 weeks old and a wonderful guy so far, I would really like to get him fixed before the hormones kick in and wondered if 3 months was a good age.

Feeling sad, Kellie my African Grey sitting on 3 eggs...

That will never hatch due to her being boyfriendless. She does this every year and every year I feel so sad for her because she will never be a mom (she would be an awesome mom!). She has been bonded with me since she was 6 weeks old (I hand fed her) she is now 15, I doubt she would accept a...

    Rabbits and perfume.....

Another thread got me thinking, and this is probably going to come off as very self centered but, I LOVE perfume! LOVE!!! I frequently come home from a Sephora or Ulta fume hunt covered with 4 of more scents up and down my arms. My kids, husband, dog and parrot are used to it, but a bunny may...

    Male or female....

We are getting a baby Flemish Giant mix in a few weeks, we are going to get him or her fixed right when the baby is 4 months old. I have read that males are more friendly, females are "bossy" and a little more standoffish, would getting him/her fixed have any bearing on those traits or does it...

    Questions about collars and harnesses...

Getting a bunny soon and have been watching tons of youtube about rabbits, I've noticed some owners have collars on their rabbits (like a cat collar) with information tags incase bunny ran away or something. Are collars okay for an indoor pet bun, like a breakaway cat collar? I would also like...

Sisal area rug under new buns cage?

Hi All, I was looking for something to cover our hardwood floor under the new bunnys cage and x pen set up. I found a not very expensive bound sisal area rug at Home Depot and was wondering if that would be a good choice. i looked at linolium but figured I'd need rugs to put on top of that...

New Bunny shopping list..anything I missed??

We will hopefully be adopting a house bunny next weekend. I am finalizing my shopping list and I spent the last hour racking my brain and perusing the Petco, Petsmart and petwerks websites and this is the list I came up with. Please let me know if I am missing anything vital or should take...

Adopting a bunny in a couple weeks, a few questions..

This site is excellent and I am learning a lot about rabbits, even though I have been around rabbits since birth (a long long time ago!). We have never adopted a bunny before, my last two were from a pet shop and they were 8 weeks old or so when I got each of them, tiny tiny babies! We will be...

Extra large dog crate set up for new bunny???

After perusing what is available in hutches and indoor enclosures for our soon to be adopted medium to large bunny (looking at 2 standard rex and some mini lops along with some mixed breed meduim sized buns) I have pretty much decided that an extra large 48"x30"x32" 2door dog crate might be...

Wild bunny and pet bunny in the same yard...

We have always had at least 1 wild bunny in our chainlink fenced huge backyard since we moved in 8 years ago. There are wild bunnys all over our neighborhood but ours have their "den" in a stonewall by our garage. Last year we had 2 bigger wild bunnys and one wee baby bunny who scared the heck...
