Spot finally found the kitchen....and the crumbs

Well, he finally did it. He ventured into the kitchen and now he does not want to come out! Today is day 2. I let him out for his free roam time and he made a beeline for the kitchen remembering what goodies he must have found yesterday! I have 3 kids so the crumbs do fall but I also have a dog...

Does bunny poop leave a residue behind?

So Spot is pretty good about not pooping when he is running around but in the evening shortly after dark he will sit on our family room carpet and I will see him (I think) eating his cecotropes as he reaches down then I see his mouth going like he is chewing. The problem is when he does decide...

He ate the whole carrot chew!!!!!

I bought spot one of these today at petco - http://www.petco.com/product/108635/eCOTRITION-Rabbit-Guinea-Pig-And-Chinchillas-Carrot-Chews.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch It said long lasting and was pretty hard so I put it in his cage along with some other new stuff. When I went back to check on...

    Only having accidents when unattended?

So spot has been great with his litter box. He never has accidents in his cage and if he is being supervised when free roaming he will go back into his cage/pen to use the box no problem. The only issue is if he has to go and we are not around he will pee on the carpet in the room where his cage...

I am pretty sure my rabbit is not a rabbit...

So we have had Spot a month now and he still does not act like a rabbit at all (compared to lots of other bunnies on here and what I read about them). He does not like to jump very high at all. If he jumps more then 7 inches I would be really surprised. He does not chew ANYTHING. Well...

Home made pen from a hall landing

Just want to show everyone that any space can be made into a bunny pen. So here is my buns daytime pen for when he cannot be free roaming. The floor is a heavy duty shower curtain, old sheet and then the top is a washable whelp/incontinence pad. The banister openings is protected by that...

    Converted XL dog crate

I converted a XL dog crate we had from our dog and used everything I could around the house as to not spend any money setting it up for the bun. Unfortunately my bun is too tall to allow him to periscope at both levels so I made the bottom tall enough to stand upright and the top tall enough to...

    Bun is overly affectionate?

My new bun is super sweet and will come right over and sit for pets for what seems forever (doesn't matter if he knows you or not). I don't know how long he would actually sit as I usually stop eventually because my hand gets tired. He does soft teeth chattering so he seems to be really enjoying...

    Horse hay?

I am wondering if I can give my rabbit horse hay? I believe it is not alfalfa but am going to try and ask the farmer. My sister has horses and I can buy a bale and take 2 flakes at a time from her.

    What breed?

I was trying to figure out the breed of my new bunny, He has a blockish head like a lop but he has straight up ears. Also, is there any way to tell the age of an adult bunny?

    Stomach noises?

So I was visiting some bunnies today and one in particular kept coming right to me. The rescue thinks he may be 3-5 yrs old but are not sure. He is neutered and such a love bug. He doesn't seem to spook at anything and he comes right up and pushes under my hand so I will pet his head. He has...
