    Update? :)

Rescued rabbit, assumed to be pregnant?

Thats what I figured- thank you. I have no baseline since we just got her last week! Not sure if she's usually a grouch or how much she normally eats. Sigh.

Rescued rabbit, assumed to be pregnant?

We're now up to 7 rabbits since we rescued a few last week, so we are not new to rabbits, but we really just pick up strays and give them an home. A few years ago we had 2 "surprise" litters so I've been through the kindling process with larger breed twice but we've never intentionally bred...

    Should I be worming them?

    Thanks all! :)

    Should I be worming them?

Hi all, Just a quick questions - should I have the buns wormed regularly? They do have access to the ground/grass. Thanks. :)

    Worried winter question

    Worried winter question

Hi all, So my two flemish crosses (about 7 and 10 lbs) are outdoors year round. This is their second winter outside. They have a run thats about 4x5, and inside the run they have a big box (picture a hutch with no leg in the run, and no wire). Inside that box/hutch they have a walled off...

Question about housing rabbits outdoors during UK winter

(replied to the wrong post - sorry!)

    Oh for goodness sake!

Agreed... but dont they burrow? Mine are above ground. Starting Tuesday the low will be closer to 36F at night- Ill leave them out when it's above freezing. I'd worry too much if I didnt, even though I trust you folks. ;)

    Oh for goodness sake!

Thank you for the feedback everyone! All the rabbits are very well fed :) I will definitely bring her in with him while he gets done (I dont know why I hadn't thought of that...) and do the same when its her turn. So outside overnight is fine? Its going down to 24F tonight, so well below...

    Oh for goodness sake!

Hazel had her babies 6 weeks ago - she's been an amazing mom and her babies have done wonderfully. Hazel has been living in the 2 story hutch with the babies, and the hutch is inside the run, which Snowy (dad) has to himself. Mom, babies, and dad can all sniff each other, but no physical...

    The babies are here!

Is that what the "wild" coloration is called?

    The babies are here!

Im happy she's being protective :) I wonder what color they will be? She's brown and dad is albino. Probably no white babies if their skin is all grey?

    The babies are here!

I let her down on the bottom ramp and gave her some fresh hay- I had 30 seconds before she ran back up and gave me hell :D There are indeed 6, and they look almost identical! They all have black skin, or grey, with pink bellies. Im over the moon they're all alive! (I covered them back up- she...

    The babies are here!

I dont want to bother her - Im leaving her be, but I peeked in (just lifted the lid a little) and she ran over again and squeaked and grunted at me. I'm respecting her wishes, but I'd also like to get a proper head count (I barely counted to 6 before she noticed me, there might be 5 or 7). How...

    The babies are here!

Hazel had six huge healthy babies this morning! Thank god they're all alive- my kids would have been heartbroken, and I think I would have been too. I cant believe how big they are - holy cow. I didnt stay long (Hazel ran in and attacked me, the good momma that she it) but they have to be 3...

    Advice needed- surprise litter

Nope and its driving me crazy! I made a new post last night called "No bunnies yet!" - she built her nest a week ago today, and she's huge and I can feel little baby kicks if my hand is under her belly. I guess any second now... but who knows since I have no idea when she was bred. :P
