Help identifying my new baby bun! Rex? Satin?

Thanks for the help! I think you guys are right about the hotot, and probably being a dwarf too! That's good, and now I can worry less about her being so small compared to Winston when he was her age! She would look awesome with a mohawk! :biggrin2:

Help identifying my new baby bun! Rex? Satin?

Found this random picture on the internet, and it's very similar to Dahlia's markings and coat!

Help identifying my new baby bun! Rex? Satin?

Oh, I forgotten about hotots! She does have the classic eyeliner look! Her ears might be too long to be just hotot, so maybe a rex/hotot mix? Maybe some dwarf in her too? I'm just worried that if she's supposed to be bigger, that there's something wrong! She seems perfectly happy and healthy though.

    Black spot on my bunny

Hi, I wouldn't worry about it. When Winston molts, he will sometimes get these weird dark patches. If you look really closely, you'll see that it's actually really short hair in a thick, dense patch! It will go away on its own as she keeps molting! Lovely looking bun, by the way!

    Dahlia

Dahlia is a mystery breed bunny, and a new addition to the family! She loves zooming around and bothering her older brother Winston while he is eating.

Help identifying my new baby bun! Rex? Satin?

Hi everybunny! It's been a long time, but Winston recently got a new somebunny! Her name is Dahlia and we're not sure what breed she is, or how big she will get. I want to make sure that they'll both have plenty of room once she's fully grown. The person we got her from said that she was a...

    Opinions on these wood pellets

It seems like the only wooden pellets I can find are made from pine! I knew that pine shavings were bad for rabbit health, but I didn't realize that the compressed wood pellets were as well! Thanks for making that point!

    Grooming buns

My vet recommended a flea comb for my bunny during his molting stage. It works better than the other combs and brushes that I've tried. I know they make a mini furminator de-shedding tool that you can use on smaller animals, but those run about 30$ USD. When I groom Winston, I take him next to...

Balding near base of neck/between shoulders?

Thanks for the replies! Winston has already gone through his molting stage, his coat is a nice dark blue now! As for signs of itching, flakiness, and fleas, it doesn't seem like anything is wrong. He doesn't scratch or itch the spot a lot, but it is weird that he has a bald spot there...

Balding near base of neck/between shoulders?

Hi All, Was grooming Winston today and noticed that his bald spot is getting bigger. The bald spot was there when I first got him, and when I took him to the vet, she said that it wasn't mites. But it's definitely gotten bigger since I've last had a good look at it, and I'm wondering if...

Digging Boxes! Looking for tips and advice for what goes in them!

Update! Winston doesn't like digging in the paper bags so much, but he does like eating hay from it! Actually, he likes eating hay from anything. But I tried the box with the newspaper and bedding and toys, and he does like sitting and hiding in there! Will be trying out more ideas that I find...

Has anybody flown with their bunny in-cabin?

Thanks Korr and Sophie! I was also wondering about a water bowl, so the advice about the veggies is really appreciated! I have a Sherpa/Delta Airlines soft carrier, so I shouldn't have a problem there. It was a Sherpa liner at the bottom, but I'm planning on throwing his favorite towel in...

Has anybody flown with their bunny in-cabin?

I'm taking a trip with Winston, and have decided to fly him in-cabin with me. The thought of him all alone in the cargo hold terrifies me! I've already contacted the airline and reserved a spot for him, and he'll be going under the seat in front of me. Question is, I can't find ANY information...

Digging Boxes! Looking for tips and advice for what goes in them!

The rolled down paper bags is a good idea! I'll make him more of those!

Digging Boxes! Looking for tips and advice for what goes in them!

Hey all! I have a "digging" box for Winston that consists of a blanket, some toys, and ripped up paper. I recently got the idea of putting bedding, like carefresh, into a cardboard box and using THAT as a digging box (I've heard that carefresh bedding encourages digging and burrowing...

HELP!!! Rabbit screamed in the middle of the night???

Update on Winston: He seems to be doing fine. Back to his normal self. I did check him to make sure everything was fine, and he seems perfectly okay. It was just really scary to see him like that!

HELP!!! Rabbit screamed in the middle of the night???

It's 4 in the morning now, and about a half hour ago I was woken up by some terrible screaming and Winston ramming his body against his cage?? He doesn't seem to be hurt, but why did this happen??? It's so scary and I don't want him to feel scared like this ever again. This has NEVER happened...

    Both testicles swollen after neuter??

While we're still talking about post-neutering, can I ask if anybody has seen poor behavior changes after neutering? Winston is usually well behaved, but now he's quite a handful! He goes where he knows he's not supposed to, chews a lot more, and digs in his water bowl. He even flipped it once...

    Both testicles swollen after neuter??

The vet just called and told me to keep giving him small doses of metcam, because it will help with the swelling. He's napping right now, but when he wakes up I will try to take a picture. Both sides are very pink and swollen, definitely looks like he was never neutered at all except for the...
