    New Bunny Mom -Questions

My guess is he’s jumping right over that pen. A taller one would be helpful!

    Bonding two males?

Thank you for the input! I guess if I'm not prepared to have two unbounded rabbits (and I'm not) I probably shouldn't get him.

    Bonding two males?

My friend is looking to rehome her son's bunny. One of those situations where bunny was purchased as an impulse and kid has now lost interest. I feel bad for him. He lives in a small cage, not cleaned often, barely any hay, etc. I'd happily take him if it wouldn't be super difficult to bond him...

    Found a bunny

My parents found a bunny with a tattoo in its ear. Is there a way to trace breeder tattoos? Does ARBA have a database of some sort if it's a show bunny? He looks very healthy and well kept. A holland lop, I believe. Thanks!

    Need opinions please!!

I've heard from several others (not on this forum although perhaps it's happened to someone on here) that they adopted two "bonded" rabbits from a shelter only to realize that the rabbits truly weren't bonded. The shelter was either inexperienced in bonding and simply thought the rabbits were...

    Forgot to feed rabbit!

I can't believe I did this but I totally forgot to feed our bun this morning. We were in a hurry (overslept) and the thought didn't cross my mind - bad bunny mom! I did give him fresh water and hay last night before bed but he usually needs a hay refill in the morning, along with pellets. Will...

What was your first experience like with your new bunny?

We found our first bunny as a stray. Prior to that I had actually contacted some local rescues. They were very knowledgable but rubbed me the wrong way - the message was if you didn't do things THEIR way you wouldn't be able to provide a suitable home for a bunny. I do appreciate that they only...

What has gotten into my rabbit?!

Could you put hay right in the litter box? We do that, as well as attach a hay feeder to the side of the cage so it hangs over the box. This helps with getting much of the poop in the box. Sent from my iPhone using Rabbit Forum

Is a rabbit right for me?

How long do you stay away when traveling? If it is only for a few days you could always find a reliable bunny sitter to come and check on bunny while you are away. Then you wouldn't have to upset him or her with traveling. I've read that bunnies require more attention than a cat or dog but I...

    Dwarf Bunny Help!!

Sounds hormonal to me. I think 4 months is prime time for hormones to kick in. I've read female bunnies can be territorial in their cage so reaching in may be why she grunts and lunges. If you're not planning to breed her you may want to look into getting her spayed. Sent from my iPhone using...

Post neuter litter habits - will it get better?

Thanks for the reply! He does urinate only in the box so perhaps he is litter trained after all. I generally just sweep and once a month or so scrub the floor with a water and vinegar mix. We have two dogs but they never go in the basement where his pen is. I do enter his pen daily (it's an xpen...

Post neuter litter habits - will it get better?

Remi was neutered late June and continued to poop all over his xpen. He has two litter boxes in there (medium cat boxes) which are dumped daily. I put hay in each box and also sweep up stray poops and deposit them in box. When he's in the living room playing he can go 4 hours with only a poop or...

What do you think of this crate?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005N12NMY/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 What do you think of this crate as a home for my 3 lb Holland lop? He gets plenty of time out to play so I don't think the size is an issue. I would get the crate that is 42L X 28W X 31H. I thought the "garage door"...

    Clyde Needs a New Home

Please use Craigslist as a last resort. I've heard too many horror stories of people who think they found a good home for their pet but in reality their pet went to an abusive situation. People troll Craigslist for pets for all kinds of reasons - medical testing, meat rabbits, etc. your better...
