Wow, I am glad she's doing well- but WOW I have never heard of dewlap removal and I have had many large breed rabbits for years and years. Was the surgery the only thing the vet could come up with. Seems slightly cruel to me - but then again I don't know the priors on her situation to make that...

To be classified as Pet would mean the end of Food/Fur production sothose folks who actually do raise them for such would no longer be ableto do so wether that is for thier own use of for commercialpurposes. Which I am sure would be fine for those whoconsider them as pets only but...
I honestly didn't care for the Videomyself, but I have no issue with Rabbits being classified aspoultry, I would rather see them classified asLivestock. It hasn't been until rather recentlythat Rabbits have become popular as House Pets. The Domesticrabbit was Domesticated as a Livestock animal...

I feed my Dwarfs Manna Pro 16% pro formula, I also buy it at TSC , I think its one of thebest pelleted feeds on the market and I find it keeps my rabbits inexcellent condition. I also Feed Timothy hay a few times aweek.
I have heard that the teats on a baby doe are noticable. not sure how true that is and haven't used that method. I usually wait until they are old enough and sex them then, I don't figure it matters what sex they are as newborns.
Manna Pro - Hands down the best feed, I use the 16% Protien formula for all my rabbits and feed Timothy hay daily. If I had to switch feeds I would go with Purina.
