    Building a nest

She seems to have lost interest and now just being her usually silly self. The nest isn't in my way so will let it stay for another day. Little gal is going to sleep good tonight as she gave up her daily 5 hour nap (behind the futon) to build her nest. I have to laugh as she reminded me of...

    Building a nest

Awe LOL. Not sure if she is spayed or not, but I can guarantee she has not been with another bun. She does hump a slipper and actually brought that into her nest area hehe. Should I just leave the nest there until she is done? I am guessing she will just rebuild until the phase is over maybe?

    Building a nest

Hi! My rabbit all of a sudden decided this afternoon that she was going to build herself a nest in my washroom??? She's building it out of hay & shredding up newspaper (also carried her slipper to the area). I've had her for 5 months now and wondering what brought this on? Any thoughts...

Dutch and Holland Lop had babies

Oh my gosh they are so adorable!! Ha the little babies have similar markings to my bunny -- but I have no clue what mix of breed she is :P

Need to have my rabbit spayed and was wondering what other people have paid?

Not sure where you are located but here in NJ they just started a low cost spay/neuter program http://www.njhrs.com/spayneuter.htm which sounds great and hope this link might be helpful to anyone else in my area reading this. I am finally getting my bun to the vet this Saturday, not sure if...

Bunny digging out litter in pan -- but think I know the reason

Hi again, It's been a while since I posted but happy to say I have since solved the "litter digging problem". I found a litter pan at Petsmart that has a grid which secures on with a rim and working great!! I just throw some hay in the corner of it and she sits real nice now :). I just need...

Bunny digging out litter in pan -- but think I know the reason

Lately I've observed a bad behavior with my rabbit (had her for a month now). I know she loves to eat hay while pooping and all has been good until I switched hay brands. I was first using the Kaytee hay and then switched to Oxbow. I noticed she has become very picky about which pieces of...

    Do your buns play games?

Ha-ha very cute stories!! They really are sociable animals (I am finding) and just love the way when "she's" ready to play she lets me know. Game time might only be a few minutes but it's so fun to watch her get excited. Today she was so excited and on one of her "spurts" she actually...

    Safety gate idea's please??

Ahhh thanks for that tip. I never thought she would be able to slip through that either ... fur is deceiving!! While my husband was putting up the first wooden gate she was right with him starting to chew at it. We had some natural and safe "groundhog/rabbit" repellent spray which helped in...

    Do your buns play games?

Oh my gosh, I've only had this rabbit just a month now, she is such a sweetheart and now playing games with me ... I call it the "slipper game". I take my slipper and wing it around her (sometimes she mounts it) but most of the time it gets her so excited that she "bullets" around the room a...

    Safety gate idea's please??

We installed the gate last night and as my hubby stood proud admiring his work, not less than one minute later the "little stinker" walked right by him and through the 2.5 inch spacing on the gate into the other room. The look on his face was PRICELESS!! So ... we quickly grabbed 2 grids and...

    Safety gate idea's please??

Haha yes I can tell you really love this gate and I am getting very excited myself to order one too -- sounds perfect for my situation!! Hopefully going to order one tomorrow :). We are scolding her when we catch her trying to chew it and think she's getting the message. At times now she...

    Safety gate idea's please??

Thanks so much for the links! The one from Target is too small for my doorway (I need at least 40") and the one from Walmart looks good, but I don't think it will allow enough room for us to pass through -- it's a major doorway in my home and need full access at times in and out...

    Safety gate idea's please??

Okay, so I let my bun run 2 rooms and last night bought a wood safety gate to keep her out of the other rooms and now she is CHEWING it "arrrggh". Before I thought of this brilliant idea I was using grids 3x3 connected and would just slide it back and forth. All was good until she started...

    Cinnabuns New Cage

Christina ... that is a very good idea and will look into it. She usually just jumps into the cage but better safe than sorry. I even have the wire flooring part of the cage covered with a towel just for that reason. I do have the option to remove the grid but right now testing her out in it...

    Cinnabuns New Cage

If she was to be confined all day it wouldn't be in this cage!! Sadly I wasted a good amount of money on temporary cage ... but she's happy now so it's all good! Blue eyes ... yes that is a slipper boot in the cage, of course she likes it better when on my foot and moving around but one of...

    Cinnabuns New Cage

I thought about doing a C&C cage (had mega ones for my guinea pigs) but since Cinny is out all day and only locked up at night found this to be a perfect cage for her. The door opens to the floor, the top lifts up and the bottom slips out for easy cleaning and access. She is really good with...

Wondering what my Cinnabun might be?

Hi KittyKatMe, I found her in a neighbor's backyard and assuming someone let her go along with another Dwarf Angora I caught a few weeks earlier (btw who now has a good home). Heard she had been living in the neighbor's yard for 3 for 3 MONTHS :(. I'd say she's a good solid 5lbs.

Wondering what my Cinnabun might be?

Hi, I'm from NJ and only had her 2 weeks. Not sure of her weight or even if she is a she (pretty sure though) and next week after the holidays plan to have her checked out by a vet. I was doing a search on rabbit breeds and came across a few that looked liked her and was just wondering if she...
