    Best litter for bunnies

I agree with the others. I buy pine pellets at the horse feed store. I am also very allergic to hay. When I first adopted my bunnies, I had to wear goggles, gloves, and a surgical mask. lol!!! Then I switched to Orchard hay rather than Timothy hay. Now, I'm fine. Another type of hay I...

Bond Mate: Chosen By Owner or Pet?

I'm with a rescue group. We usually tell people to bring their bunny and we introduce them to a few different bunnies. It's amazing to see how differently a bunny will act with different bunnies. If you want to make it easier on yourself, I would let your bunny decide. I see you have a...

    Hey!

Welcome Chorxley, Mookie sounds adorable. I can't really see her pic to help you find out what kind of bunny she is. Bunnies form very close bonds with their bunny friends. I've actually read where the life expectancy is less for a bunny living alone rather than with a bunny friend...

    bedtime temper tantrums?

That's a good idea. As long as you can fix it to where it stays in place. My luck I would forget it's there and fall over it in the night. lol!!!

    Sherbotsky is acting weird...

Ahhhh. I think that's so cute. Your husband should be flattered. lol!! One of my little bunnies has bladder stones/sludge. she makes little puddles outside the litter box. If that doesn't change, let me know. I can tell you what to expect and the protocol my vet has her on. She also...

    Red urine

That's right. It is a chemical reaction to the veggies the buns are eating. Dark orange is totally normal. Funny thing, I have 10 bunnies and they all eat the very same things. Some have orange urine and some don't. I guess it just depends on the bunny.

    GI Stasis Treatment?

I have dwarf bunnies who are prone to stasis. In the beginning they would get it every 2 or 3 months. One didn't go to the bathroom for 9 days!! She would nibble on greens. But, that was about it. I gave her subq fluids twice a day, childrens gasx by syringe, and tried to syringe feed...

My rabbit won't chew his toys

Oh No. I'm so sorry. That could be serious. You may already know this. But, you want to keep him warm and hydrated through the night until you can see your vet. You can also syringe feed him. Please let us know how he's doing. I'll say a prayer for you.

My rabbit won't chew his toys

I was fostering a neglected bunny once who had never received any type of medical care and had really bad teeth problems. He wouldn't chew on anything or eat anything but pellets. The vet told me that he was probably eating the pellets because they didn't hurt his teeth. As soon as he would...

Why can't baby bunnies have veggies?

I must admit, this is something I did in the beginning when I didn't know the baby's shouldn't have greens. They were probably around 6-8 weeks old. I gave them Italian Parsley. It gave them diarrhea. I took it away from them immediately and they were fine after that. I had to give them...

    bedtime temper tantrums?

I have a bunny who lives in my bedroom as well. In theory, the baby gate sounds like a great plan. But, my bunny will chew on it and it drives me crazy!! He's not trying to get out. He just likes to chew on the plastic. It will keep you awake at night. It's one of the plastic gates. I ordered a...

    bedtime temper tantrums?

Are they alone together all day in your bedroom? If so, I would think you would be able to leave them out at night. Especially, if you are there. If they lay together side by side and groom each other, they are bonded. Rabbits are very social and prefer to live in groups. There's safety in...

Why is my baby bunny crazy

Rabbit's are very territorial. When you put a rabbit in another one's territory, they can actually fight to the death. Although, the rabbit's personality has a lot to do with it. Some will easily bond with another bunny, others can take weeks. I have 10 bunnies. I have bonded 5 of them...
