Difficult Bonding...I could really use some REAL advice

Only thing I can think to try that I used to bond my rats. Yes different animal but they are huge on smell and grooming. After trying everything to bond them, what finally got them to actually bond was not through neutral grounds, switching bedding and toys for smell. Or stress bonding. All...

    Rabbits burrowing

A dig box is a great choice. I put some of her hay, paper, added a few pellets to dig around for and eat. Along with chew sticks and the odd dried banana chip to really encourage her to dig around.

How many animals do you have and what are they?

Which is funny because when I got her 6 years ago she was a cranky unbroken poop head who hated people. Many times my step mom wanted her gone. She's now broke and great with children and is always looking for love. Very laid back girl. I have not a clue why I named her SweetThing... XD her...

    Daisy's testicles after neuter

My boy Tux swelled way more then that, I did take him back but they assured me as long as it wasnt leaking that the swelling would go down and that it was normal. But they also gave me pain meds to keep him comfortable. The swelling never seemed to bother him, but again he was on pain meds. If...

    Everyone's Bunnies!!! Fun!!!

Not a bunny but he's still a pet haha Ok so he's outdoors, he didn't greet me this morning to be fed so I was worried. He's fine but I think he likes it in the house haha Sadly this boy was a late chick so I knew winter would be harder on him, that's why I kept him until I can rehome him come...

    x pen questions

This was my x pen cage I had set up for my first Flemish. I used NIC and bought extra clips like the ones that come with the x pen to clip the NIC shelves I made to the cage so she had two levels. The floor was a heavy duty tarp because she was on carpet. Super spacious and easy to clean. I...

    Not Happy with the E-collar

I see my post up there haha yes My boy hated the cone. Also he chewed and licked with it off. The vet wrap from his armpits to his back legs really helped. Just don't make it to right. Their lungs shouldn't be constricted at all! I wrapped it a few times loose. Enough to make it stiff and hard...

Help controlling smell in rabbit shed w/out harming droppings 4 garden

I use Odormed. It can be on the fur of the animal and is still safe. Also do a wipe down with vinegar and water mix first. Then spray the Odormed, no need to wipe it away as it won't harm the rabbits. My vet clinic sells it. Not sure where else to get it.

Does anyone own a bun thats not fixed?

I have a unaltered female. About 2 years or older. She's been a doll and I don't have a rabbit savvy vet any closer then 5 hours away. So she's not getting done. But my male I have had done (paid out the yazoo to arrange rides and such to get him done) He's always been a supper happy guy and...

Is my bunny a Flemish Giant?

He looks like one to me XD same ears and face. My boy isn't that large for a Flemmy either. About 12 lbs or so. He's also the otter color. His mother was the moulted grey and white. And his father was the same color as yours. So I'm not sure where Tux's color came from haha Sent from my...

    Determining breed by DNA test?

That I'm not to sure about, and also if they do do that for rabbits the blood test will come back giving you the exact percentage of which breeds are in the rabbit. It is possible for a pure bred to come back with another breed in it but has to be a certain percentage (low percentage) to be...

    Determining breed by DNA test?

I'd ask your local vet. Or the nearest rabbit savvy vet if they know if they can do blood tests. I know in my area it's 80 to get a dog DNA tested. Sent from my iPhone using Rabbit Forum

Can you take allergy pills? I take a tiny pill of Reactine a day. (Heavily allergic to everything, my dog, rabbits, chickens, the fields, dust.) in other words I'm allergic to life haha But a small pill a day and I don't even notice my allergies or asthma at all. All day :D Sent from my...

    Everyone's Bunnies!!! Fun!!!

This isn't Duke, but it's the exact color and close to the haircut I have him. The reason for the hair cut was because he kept getting poop stuck to his bum and because I thought it was cute. He was a full time indoor bun. His ears and any remaining hair needed to be groomed regularly or it...

    Everyone's Bunnies!!! Fun!!!

Though I LOVE Flemish Giants. My favourite breed is Angoras. My first rabbit was a tan Angora. Named him Duke. I kept his fur shaved into a modified lion cut. He was my most trained rabbit. Clicker trained him to sit pretty, walk, stand. Lap, kisses and to spin both way. Also started to play...

    Is your bunny completely tame?

All rabbits are different my boy Tux will come when called but won't stick around if you don't have treats. He sometimes tolerates being picked up, is pretty good for pets and if you lay him on his back. Not a biter at all. My latest rescue Dix comes when called, loves pets and is really good...
