I might be unpopular, but if your bun is not eating...it's pain and danger. get a different vet. needs tummy degassing and to eat. pain relief should help with that.

as a vet nurse said to me, if they won't eat what you want, main thing is that they eat. if i were you, since he is so bony, i would take him to a vet. and i would feed him what he would like. we don't have oxbow in australia pretty much(my vet has the critical care though) and i never hear it...

like how long since they had bunnies in the cage? i'd be inclined to wash it down with vinegar and earth detergent and spray it with the hose, then let it dry. there are natural disinfectants also. those iodine and stall safe ones sound good too.
