    New Cage - Houdini

Unfortunately don't k of anyone coming down that way until June. Okay.. So... I'm going to just break this down for you guys. And totally swapping to zip ties now, knowing that. This rabbit.. She's small. And she's CRAZY acrobatic. Like, when she was put in the original part of the traditional...

    New Cage - Houdini

Yes, there is. However, $20 per pack of grids when only half the grids are usable due to size of squares(the packs come with big squares and little squares for some strange reason) is a lot of money to make a big cage out of. This cage is temporary while I convert a wardrobe into a three level...

    New Cage - Houdini

I'm going to note, before anyone suggests it.. I don't have enough NIC grids to make something bigger, and they're quite expensive where I live, and I've scouted free classifieds and garage sales for them for months and months with absolutely no hits. I bought the majority of what I have.

    New Cage - Houdini

The rabbit, some of you may recall I found abandoned.. Is an escape artist. I've tried her in x-pens.. Even tall ones, she can jump them or find a hole to squeeze through, everytime. She's a little acrobat. She can tight rope walk an inch wide top of an xpen. And then she chews EVERYTHING paper...

    Behaviour help?

This sounds awful... but this has happened twice now... The new rabbit figured out how to escape the x-pen to go attack my other rabbit. So I put her in a regular pet store cage. She then figured out how to escape that and I just found her, once again, attacking my senior rabbit. I'm finding her...

    Behaviour help?

As some know, I recently acquired a rabbit(appears to be Lionhead mix) that was dumped outside to fend for herself. Fairly sure she's a young female. That said, I don't know if she's spayed, so a vet check is definitely in the books. Beyond that, I'd like some help. She will greet you with a...

    Bonding Help?

I've had a bunny I found for about a week. I let her settle in her home, sharing a cage wall with my other rabbit. The new rabbit was found outside, clearly abandoned. Female. Young, maybe a year old and a lionhead mix. My male is a Holland Lop I've had for about four years, super laid back like...

    Loose domestic bunny..

She's doing very well! Nobody has claimed her, she was likely dumped. But she's settled in well and she even comes running to me to see if I have treats for her. Still skittish about being handled, but will come greet me and let me give her a short pet. :)

    What might she be?

Not sure if it's a coincidence or not.. But a gf of mine got her lionhead mix rabbit from a breeder near me.. :/

Considering repurposing furniture for indoor hutch.

I currently am using an exercise pen, and I honestly don't care for how much space it takes up, when I could put my rabbit in a multi-level cage that goes up instead. They are in my office, and take up 50% of it currently with an x-pen.

Considering repurposing furniture for indoor hutch.

If you had the option to repurpose this, what would you do with it? As it stands, I have one rabbit, with another to potentially bond, and the hutch would go in my office where the hutch would be open during the day for free roaming. I have this cabinet sitting here in my dining room and I've...

    What might she be?

Any idea what breeds or colour pattern she might be? She's small. 4lb max.

    Loose domestic bunny..

Fairly sure it's female. I caught her. Definitely domestic. Looked like black patches in the dark. Bit of banana was the perfect lure. She's now safely in my office with space to calm down and be safe. I live in Royal Oak, so far nw. Lots of coyotes and other dangers. She definitely seems dumped...

    Loose domestic bunny..

It's starting to cool down outside. While walking my dog the other day, I spotted a bunny. Young, under a year old likely, white with black spots, appears to be a lionhead mix. I put ads up. Someone likely released him. He's friendly enough for me to get close, but not touch him. I'm thinking...

    Homemade toys

Having a toddler and dogs means many of my Jenna blocks went missing. Can I use the spares to make toys for my rabbit? Are they safe? Also, those colorful easter woven baskets.. would they be safe or should I assume that whatever they're dyed with is unsafe? I should note my rabbit is NOT a...

    2014 Cages You've Made

So, the one photo is a very obvious 'before' photo, before I added all the extras. He loves his tunnel, and I added a cardboard tunnel after Christmas(he likes to play in it) and various other small things for toys and enrichment. Yes, there is a small cat post in there with a toy that hangs...

    Cage Enrichment

What I have added so far(my cat doesn't use that stand/toy thing anymore). A cardboard rectangle full of hay and hidden treats, baby link toys, one of those rabbit chew skewers that you can add veggies and fruits to, a cardboard hanging thingy that he can shuffle around, a cardboard tunnel hide...

    Cage Enrichment

I have a relatively lazy rabbit with cataracts(he can still see some shadows according to my Vet).. But originally, he was getting blockaded into a section of my bedroom for free roaming. Now, he's in my office and I'm using a baby superyard to create a safe open space for him(office is in an...

Free Roam and Large Open Enclosures

For those of you who allow your buns to free roam, or have large, open enclosures - any tips on properly bunny proofing(my boy isn't a chewer, but he will nudge and push at sections he thinks he can move out of his way)? Also, for large open enclosures - what do your set ups look like? Any...

    Cataracts and Immune System

Took my old boy to the vet about a month ago. He has immature cataracts in both eyes(she determined that he can see shadows though), and we're thinking he might have a weak immune system or something really effecting his health.. He's also always had malocclusions. He's about eight or nine...
