    Enterobacter (snuffles?)

My rabbit chai had a culture done and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection called enterobacter and this vet prescribed marbofloxacin antibiotic. At the beginning we tried a low dosage of baytrel (nose drops) and seemed to do nothing. Another vet has said this marbo antibiotic is not...

    Sneezing bunny

Hey everyone... Last month I had rescued three rabbits and I decided to adopt one of them. He has been sneezing...5-6 times in a row. We have done fecal tests, and everything is fine, ears mouth etc and no discharge from the nose. He prescribed baytrel nose drops. If that doesn't work then we...

    IV fluid therapy

I finally booked cheenis spay for Feb 12th and the vet was suggesting to have the IV fluid therapy because she is a mature spay. I don't know too much about it so if anyone can give me a bit of direction in terms of whether or not it is necessary that would be great. She is charging me 75$...

    Ho ho ho

SO Petsmart is allowing people to bring in their pets to get a picture with Santa Claus so I figured why not try it with cheeni and see how she does. I'd have her harness around her so she doesn't go anywhere and I even bought a little Santa hat which I doubt she will keep on but who knows...

    Companion?

I was thinking of getting Cheeni a little sister to play with whom she can have a life long friendship with. The thing is, I plan on having Cheeni spayed in a few weeks as she is a year old now. Maybe I should wait? Have it done let her heal completely and then bring the new bunny in? What do...

    Visiting the US

Has anyone ever crossed the border into the US with their rabbit before? Is there anything I need to make sure I have just so they know that she is mine? Any information would be very helpful :) I tend to go to NY quite a bit from the Niagara Buffalo border and I don't trust anyone to take...

    Feel bad.. :(

So this is the second time I am cutting her nails. I was able to do one hand but poor girl was terrified...breathing heavily..trying to run away...I held her down as gently as possible...but eventually I felt too bad so I put her back down and gave her a baby carrot as a treat to calm her down...

    Hair on her neck...

So I noticed a bit of pink skin being more visible on cheenis neck (on her back)...and my first thought was maybe when I was grooming her I pulled too much fur out because I had gotten a lot of fur into my comb that day. Is this normal? She doesn't seem to itch any more than she grooms herself...

    Information on proper dental care..

So I know pellets will help her with keeping her teeth grinded down and Cheeni eats her pellets very well and eats a lot of hay through out the day. What are some other things I can do to make sure her dental health stays well...healthy? Some tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

    Taking her outside...

so I bought a harness for her so that I could take her outside in the backyard now that it is getting warmer, at least until I buy a pen to set up so that she can have some outdoor time when summer hits. She was terrified though, her pupils became so small but at first she was curious, smelling...
