Does anyone use two Xpens for their buns? Elliot is not crazy about coming out of his cage in it's current location, into the Xpen. His favorite place is my office, where his cage was originally. Unfortunately there is not room in here any longer for it, and it is not safe to let him have free...

Elliot has been getting used to the ferret nation cage. But we were having issues with the slick surface on the floors, and he did not like the wire ramps. So someone here suggested dollar store rugs. I cut one in half flor the floor, and cut another and ziptied the pieces to the ramps.

I now have Elliot in a double Ferret Nation cage. I need to take pics. My problem is he cannot use the ramps, or does not want to. What can I cover them with that will stay in place, that will make it easier for him to use them?

I am looking at Elliot's new home, and wondering if something like indoor outdoor carpeting would be safe to line both trays?{ferret nation cage} What is your favorite cage substrate?:)

The hutch has turned out to be my biggest bunny mistake!:sigh: So...I found a ferret nation 2 story on CL cheap, that I will be setting up for Elliot. It is nice and roomy, and with the xpen will be more room than the hutch. That hutch is just a huge chew toy for him, and very hard to clean...

Well I logged in today to see what everyone had been up to, and talk about my new hutch for Elliot. But after reading a very heated discussion, I am not so sure I should.:confused2:

Does it vary with type, or is there a certain time frame? 6-8 months is what I am seeing with a google search.

We changed out the aspen bedding today for carefresh she got a new water bowl:innocent and toys:D and got to try alfalfa for the first time Elliot got to try a little too, and thought it was yummy:P And she now knows what a sleepy spot is nighty nite:yawn:

:hearts I just got back with her. Drove two hours to get her. ..this is how she was given to me...we will get her off that substrate and onto some better food starting tomorrow. She needs a good name. She is six weeks old.:innocent

Elliot was neutered just a week ago and already using a litter box now! I expected it to be a lengthy process to convince him to use it. There are a few little round misses, but he is using the box now 95% at least.Amazing!:)
