Litter trained pair peeing on floor!?

Oh and the carpet is just a rug that sits under the xpen. If I remove the rug then they will not come out of their cage.

Litter trained pair peeing on floor!?

No, No new changes. Litter box is same as always. No new animals or anything. routine is the same. they get plenty of exercise everyday. and they both seem healthy. I thought maybe it could be a bunny uti but they both seem fine.

Litter trained pair peeing on floor!?

I have a male and female and they are a year old. I have had the female for a year and the male we have had for 6-8 months. The are both fixed and have gotten along great from the start. They are in an NIC cage with an xpen attached for more room. We keep them in there at night and while we...

    Bunny bonding- Mutual grooming

So I have been bonding Sully (Spayed female) and Beau (neutered male) and the y have been pretty easy so far. Sully is the alfa bunny and demands grroms from Beau constantly which he happily provides. I never see Sully groom him this whole time which I realize is not unusual, so I was...

    Intro bonding Beau and Sully

Both rabbits are fixed. Beau was neutered on May 1st and might still be hormonal. We were going to wait a bit longer to start boonding but they like to visit outside the bars of each others cages so we felt the were ready. lol and yes Beau is quite hyper when those two get together, he just...

    Intro bonding Beau and Sully

Bonding date 3: http://youtu.be/0xkIAix_NJ4 Is this Beau's akward way of trying to groom Sully? Before this the bonding dates consisted of Beau mounting Sully repeatedly, Sully allowing it for a little while then telling him to back off.

    Bowl of water or bottle?

Interesting how rabbit personalities differ...Sully prefers a water bottle. Our newest addition, Beau seemed annoyed with his bottle so we tried a different bottle, still annoyed. So now we are trying a bowl and he likes that much better....hopefully he won't be too messy with it. I will still...

    Intro bonding Beau and Sully

This is a good sign....(Beau left, Sully right) Just brought Beau home yesterday and he is the sweetest boy ever! It was love at first sight for Beau and Sully seems to like him back but has been pretending to ignore him. Beau we think will be easy, Sully we are a bit more cautious of bc she...

    Do bunnies need a friend?

My girl Sully started to get hormonal at 3 months two weeks. It was like someone flipped a switch, on day she was real mellow and the next day she was real territorial and destructive (practise nesting.) Then she was spayed and she calmed right back down. : )

    Digging materials?

I thought she would use it as a litter box (that was actually the intended purpose) but she has designated other litter boxes for that use and she decided this box was just for digging and hiding...rabbits are so interesting...

    litter box

I use a layer of newspaper, then a layer of bedding (right now it is Fresh World Bedding, but I might swich to Care Fresh) and last a layer of hay. The newspaper makes cleaning easier and the litter helps with odor control. My rabbit it very picky abou how clean her litterbox is so she always...

    Rabbit didn't survive spay...

Thank you so much everyone, I can't tell you how much all the kind words mean to me. Cheenisowner, I am having a hard time reading Sully. Physically she is doing great eating well, getting excercise. She and Drake were two girls against the world and have been through a lot together so I...

    Digging / scratching toys

Sully is a digger and she loves a hay mat I got from the petstore. http://www.petco.com/product/13360/Petco-Straw-Mats.aspx?cm_mmc=bazaarvoice-_-RLP-_-13360-_-image_link She loves to pick at it and tear it apart. We also got her a covered litter box that is filled with bedding and hay and...

    Rabbit didn't survive spay...

Just a quick update, the vet did a necropsy and the surgeon didn't seem to make any mistakes. She thinks Drake may have been born with a kidney condition and just couldn't handle the surgery. Did your rabbits have bloodworm before surgery? In my area they don't do it unless it is an older...

Thank you so much everyone for your support, I really needed it. Well they are going to a necropsy for me (the second vet, not the vet that did the spay.) I will keep you updated. Oh and I also sent an email to the vet that did the spay and am waiting a reply.:cry4:
