    Buster 2011- Jan 3,2019

I haven’t been on this forum in a while, I signed up when I first got Buster back in October of 2011. Everyone here was very helpful and I learned so much about my new bunny. It was because of you guys he became a free range rabbit. I just came to write that he passed away on Jan 3, 2019 at...

    introducing Stache and I (NY)

What a cutie! And I see you're from NY too! What part of NY are you? I'm in Westchester. I tried giving my bunny fleece blankets and he likes to dig and chew them. Every bunny is different though. Try it and see if it works for him. It will definitely keep him warm in the winter. :)

    Grooming tips?

Buster is a pain to groom too. As soon as he sees the brush coming he zooms across the room. When he's going through a major shed I ask for help. Someone holds him and I brush as quickly as I can. He hates it but it needs to be done. He tolerates petting very well so most of the time ill spray...

What did you for your rabbit for thanksgiving?

Yea I gave Buster a craisin too. I tried giving him a fresh cranberry but he just pushed it away with his nose. I also tried giving him a taste of pumpkin but he wanted no part of that either... He did get extra playtime though and he loved all the attention from the company! :)

    Eating carpet ..... Help!!!!

My rabbit Buster also loves to chew and dig at the carpet. The only thing that seems to work is putting down flat cardboard for him to chew and throwing hay all over the floor. Buster likes to eat his hay spread out over the floor. I guess it reminds them of grass outside... It makes a mess but...

Getting my bunny to eat hay

I have a picky hay eater myself. It can be very frustrating. It took me a while to come up with a plan to get him to eat more. First I offered him many different kinds of hay and brands. His favorite is orchard grass from oxbow. He also likes organic meadow hay. He also only like the small...

What's your favorite movie and your favorite tv show?

Buster and I often watch TV together. My favorite TV shows include The Simpsons(Huge fan), 30 rock, American Horror Story and House Hunters(he always picks the right house!) My favorite movie is Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Not only because there's a talking rabbit in it but because it really is...

    Rabbits nail ripped out

When I took my rabbit to the vet for the first time they said he had a nail missing on his right foot. They said he probably had an accident when he was a baby. It's more common than you'd think. They can live perfectly normal lives. As long as you treat it right away to prevent infection. They...

    So Pero has a quirk...

I had the same problem with Buster when I first got him. He started having health problems because if it. So I started taking away his pellets and his veggies for a couple of hours a day. It worked. I also had to try every hay under the sun. Busters favorite is organic meadow hay and orchard...

Is a wet nose normal for a bunny?

Yea it's normal for the nose to be slightly wet. As long as you don't see discharge or there are no other symptoms. I know I always get nervous when I feel Buster's wet nose, then I realize that he just stuffed his face with wet veggies ☺ Sent from my iPhone using Rabbit Forum

I'm ridiculously excited over RO's mobile app.

I know, me too! I take so many photos on the phone of my Buster. Now I have a place to put them where people want to see them. I keep going up to random people showing them how cute my rabbit is. Buster exploring the living room couch, flopped on his kennel cab, and waiting for more pets...

    Tell us your story!

The hay and his paper shredding litter takes up a lot of space. That is the biggest problem. I buy 4 different kinds of hay because Buster won't eat just one kind. :biggrin2: Also my fridge is also always filled with veggies. I need a bigger fridge. My condo is about 1550 square feet so...

    Tell us your story!

Thank you! He thinks he's cute too! 😊It's not so bad having a rabbit in a condo. I spoil my rabbit so he takes up more room then he should. But he is very happy, always running around. I am lucky my Buster doesn't like to chew things he shouldn't so he has free range when I'm around. I...
