We were given our bunny, Gracie, after she was dumped at the local feed store (they asked us to take her when we stopped in for feed). This was back in 2010, three months after Easter. She was in distress because she had been outside in a nasty dog crate and it was one of the hottest days of...
Great suggestions about wetting down hay, etc... If he is on a drylot, would 24/7 pasture be an option? I think the steroid is the best option. We are down here in The Land of Bugs and have to put one horse on steroids every summer because she's allergic. We manage the flies very well but it...
I am staying home with our toddler currently, but I also run our cattle farm. I will be returning to finish my master's in molecular biology once our boy is fully potty trained. Hubby is a family doctor. We met when we were both in the military. I was a naval officer onboard warships and...
I was commissioned as a naval officer in May 2001 after serving 4 years as an enlisted sailor and completing a scholarship/commissioning program in Washington DC. I actually knew a few of the folks killed in the Pentagon attack. Anyway, after commissioning, I was sent to Newport, RI for...
I put a reflective metal mirror in our bunny's cage. She seems to like it. Also, those parrot chew toys, branches, rabbit hay mat and 'house'. Her favorite toys seems to be her food dishes, LOL!

Our son is almost three years old and loves his bunny. He has been reading her stories lately, LOL! He even played her music this morning (on his harmonica).
We're learning how to speak Irish together so he asks her in Irish if she's hungry or thirsty, LOL!
