    New Zealand...or Flemish?

She is definitely a flemish and a VERY good looking one! Can I ask where you got that harness at? Does the neck part open up also or do you have to slide it over the ears and head? I've been searching for a good harness for my flemmies.

LOL, was he trying to get the goods on all your dirty laundry? No hiding anything around that guy.

Breeding in doors and are they pets?

It sounds like they would make it outside in the winter time also as long as they have shelter and lots of hay to help keep them warm.

Breeding in doors and are they pets?

GorbyJobRabbits wrote: I don't live in Canada, I live in Illinois so I get the hot humid summers and the freezing cold winters. I would just be starting out so wouldn't be able to afford heaters, or air conditioners or anything like that. But I am starting to think that if I built hutches...

pictures of my flemish giants first litter

Oh they look absolutely adorable, I agree w/ the harlequin, I'm assuming with the hair that was pulled the mother is gray, do you know what color the fater was?

Would this Cage/kennel Housing Set-Up work?

Wow, I would think that set up would definitely work with them. Between cage time, exercise time, outside time, I don't see them getting very bored. Not very often that you hear of someone that cares that much for their pets.

So. Defying conventional logic, I have a semi- bald rabbit

LOL hmmm looks like a new breed not quite a dutch. I say if it helps the bun and you are already aware of keeping him warm then so be it, besides gray is totally in right now! LOL

    Little Lady's Spay

Just got home from getting LIttle Lady from the vet, it was indeed a false pregnancy so we went ahead w/ the spay and everything went great without a hitch, I've been pretty worried about this one because it's the first female I've personally had to take in to get done and I know they are more...

    because i am a sucker

Ahh he's adorable, so glad that you are giving him a better home. It's amazing how quickly they realize they have it better. My female I got trusted me right away, would lay completely stretched out while I petted her, the last couple days she's been doing the bunny 500 around the house, I...

    flemish giant neuter

I've always been told that if the testes have dropped then it is fine. I don't think it would be a problem.

    first litter flemish giant

I wish I could offer some kind of advice but I am just starting to think about breeding myself, however if this is the same flemish giant that you have listed in your bunnies: profile part that is 4 months old, maybe the small litter is because she is so young, I have read on other threads that...

    Pictures! Beau and Big Momma

I'd tell you to stick her in your pocket and do a bunny knapping but that is a little hard to do w/ a flemmie LOL I bet your little guy will be jumping for joy when you let him go outside, after the initial caution of course lol.

Need to ask a few questions:)

Pellets and alfalfa hay can be fattening, a good timothy or grass hay is much better for them. Going by the ears I'd say he might have some flemish giant in him I can't remember how old you said he was. Adorable either way.

How can you tell if a rabbit is spayed?

From what I have heard, the only way to tell is to shave the hair to see if there is a scar but some vets apparently can do it without leaving a scar, so the other option is to go ahead w/ the spay and then the vet can tell once he's in there of course. Is there a way you can call them and...

Need to ask a few questions:)

As for neutering, I had a very sweet unneutered male who was atleast a year old when I got him, whenever you went up to him he would pancake for nose and cheek rubs and just soak it in, the sweetest rabbit, didn't mind being held as long as his back legs felt secured. I got him neutered just a...

    Elton pics

LOL, I can soo see both a parrot and our rabbits doing that, I use to breed and raise parrots so I know exactly how destructive they can be. I make my girls put their book bags in their rooms otherwise they aren't safe, as you can see in one of my pics w/ Trixie checking out one of them they...
