Tell us the top 2 things U didn't know about rabbits...

There is so much I have a hard time just listing two. I guess we will go with: That they couldn't live purely off of eating carrots (I was about 14 when I got my first rabbit) That they can have individual personalities. I had thought they would just all want to eat and be afraid of...

    Rejecting litterbox

The two litter boxes I have out of the cage are just cat litter boxes, and considering he probably weighs about 15 lbs it really isn't big. The one in his cage is an old cage bottom from one of those 3 foot long cages. Maybe I will try replacing the litter pans with under the bed storage bins...

    Rejecting litterbox

So Cricket was always good about peeing in his litter box, but over the last 2 weeks he has stopped using it. He will actually pee on the floor right in front of the litter box. This only happens when he is out, when he is in his cage he uses his box fine. Now I'm wondering, is it most...

    Howrse Players Unite!

I played years ago but it was costing me to much real money buying extras. Might have changed since I played it but I remember something about buying special passes and all the top horses were horses where you needed to spend real money if you wanted a foal from them. I also enjoyed Horse...

    Breed guess?

Yea, I had a little talk with my cousin about the cedar. He was an impulse buy and I don't think he ever read anything about rabbits. Somebody was selling rabbits in front of Walmart, all he was told was it was a mini rabbit. Thanks guys :)

    Breed guess?

This is my cousins rabbit, he is about 6 months old as far as I know, and looks about 2 lbs. His coat feels sort of velvety. Any guesses? I've never been good at breeds, my best guess was a mini rex mix...... which is probably far off :?

Extra wrapping paper - Good toy for rabbits?

Thanks for the info. Guess it's time to find some other toys. Maybe it's time for a trip to the craft store.

Extra wrapping paper - Good toy for rabbits?

So I finished wrapping the presents and have 2 rolls of wrapping paper left. Just wondering, would the dye in the paper be harmful to my rabbit or not? He loves to play with phone books and shred them, but there isn't as much dye or the sort of waxy texture wrapping paper has. Doesn't seem...

    Where does your bunny roam?

My boy Cricket is only allowed free roam in my bedroom. I have 4 dogs and don't trust them not to hurt him. They aren't aggressive, just a little over enthusiastic and play to roughly. So I bunny proofed my bedroom and he has free roam from the time I wake up till I go to sleep, even when I...

Apple branches - who actually buys them?

Thats another thing I was wondering about, most of the sellers say they are organic, but it isn't like it is regulated by anybody, they can be saying anything. Well next year should be interesting, between the garden I plan on starting and the fruit trees I think I will be busy.

Apple branches - who actually buys them?

So I use to buy apple branches at Tractor Supply, but they haven't been carrying them lately. So I went online and found a few places selling them on Ebay and was surprised about how much they seem to get for them. Last year I went and planted 2 willow trees just for the branches, but now I'm...

Too late, but still curious about what might have happened....

Well I brought Cricket to the vet today, he looked him over and checked his heart beat and stuff, all seemed fine. So he took some blood to run a few tests but so far all looks good. Well he did have a few fleas I noticed last night so they gave me some Revolution for him. Hopefully should...

Too late, but still curious about what might have happened....

I just assumed that like how humans suffer from diabetes genetically a rabbit can suffer from hypoglycemia genetically also. Every evening I give them a full bowl of food, by the next evening it is generally nearly empty, but it was still at least half full that night, so I do think he stopped...

Too late, but still curious about what might have happened....

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm not sure about the floppy rabbit syndrome, with the seizure it seems to be a bit off. Right now I'm still leaning on maybe he fell or hypoglycemia. The thing is the second floor of the cage is about 2 feet off the ground, they have a ramp to use, in the...

Too late, but still curious about what might have happened....

So Firefly passed away last night. He was an 11 month old, male, Flemish Giant. Not neutered, he was at the vet last in May for a check up and the vet said everything looked fine. He would normally be free fed Purina Rabbit Chow, complete formula, and Timothy hay (Kaytee). About a week ago...

    Bonding advice please

Well I haven't visited here in about 2 months, been a busy time. Unfortunately last night Firefly passed away. Him and his brother are only 11 months old, and now his brother Cricket is all alone. He still has me and the 2 cats who are friends with him, but I don't think it is the same as...

Thinking of adding to the family

So I've been thinking of this for a while. I would love to get 2 more rabbits. I'm thinking maybe a French Lop. I had one when I was a kid, she was so fun to have. The thing is, I'm happy with the chemistry my 2 boys have now, they get along fine and are happy, so I don't think I would want them...

How high is to high for a rabbit to jump?

I guess I was thinking of how dogs jump, like bigger the dog usually the higher they can jump. Firefly tried making it up to the second floor before I put the foot stool in and he jumped and was hanging off trying to pull himself up, then fell. I guess I will try to reconstruct the ramp, it's...

How high is to high for a rabbit to jump?

So I have my custom cage I built, the second floor is 2 feet high. I attached a ramp to it, they used it fine for months, but somehow while I was gone it broke off. So I decided to just use a foot stool instead for them to hop up and down on. The problem now is they will hop up using it, but...

Found this online, couldn't help but to laugh. Of course I do not recommend feeding this to your buns :biggrin2:
