    Getting Clean?

He will eventually clean all that off himself. But you do and should keep the area as dry as possible. If the area is wet then the skin could start to break down. The fur will fall away easier which makes it easier for them to swallow, which can lead to further problems. I had this happen to...

    Seeing in Color?

I once had a dwarf rabbit named Cleo, at one time she was small enough to be contained in one of those small animal corrals. After a while she discovered she could hop out of it. Each panel was a different colour 2 or more of red green yellow and blue. She would only jump over the yellow panels...

Now It's Wilbur Who's Not Feeling Well

This may sound like an odd question but how many papaya tabs do you give them at one time. I had given one of my rabbits 2 of them because he was begging for it. Then my hubby came along after me and gave him another one. Because the papaya aids in digestion, the rabbit got a huge attack of gas...

I have discovered what dewlaps are NOT for!

They are not for sucking up in a vacuum!!! I was cleaning the girls cage. They were on the top level, so I was vacuuming out the bottom level. Anwyn all of a sudden came tearing down the ramp. She ran straight into the vacuum nozzle!!!! You have to understand that Anwyn has a huge...

    Fred

Fred was born on August 2, 2006. He was born into a litter with one brother and three sisters. Fred’s mother refused the litter, so they all had to be hand fed. The job of keeping them alive fell into my hands. It is a hard and time-consuming job and truly, I would not wish it on anyone. Fred...

An Update, a question and an apology

Go to Home Depot they sell Plexiglass in sizes suitable for cages... The piece I bought was 19..99 and they cut it down to the sizes I wanted. I attached them to the sides of the cage by drilling holes in the corners and securing them with zip ties. The plexiglass is easily cleaned and does not...

Just wanted to make you JEALOUS!

I have been priviledged to be able to add this precious soul to my family. Her name is Cheyanne. She is a 10 week old Sable Point Holland Lop. I adopted her from a veteren forum member (CorkysMom). Her father Korbel is a GC! The pictures do no justice to her colouring, she is absolutely...

    Having a bun sitter again...

Hmmmm... bunny sitters! Last Christmas we went home and asked my good (?!?!?!) friend to bunnysit. I left her with pages (and I mean pages) of detailed instructions on what to do with each rabbit. 10 pages .. 10 rabbits. Each page had what you could and couldn't do how and when to feed...

Does anyone keep there rabbits in pens

Very nice play area. But I have to question it's placement. There are two exposed wires inside that setup.. It is just my opinion but that is a disaster waiting to happen. I know from experience of having to replace phone cords every other month.

    Ash, smart and handsom!

You may have ghosts that open up your cages.. but I have rabbits who lock themselves in their cage! I "HAD" a combination carbiner lock on the girls cage. I never bothered to use the combination.. why would I? I don't have anyone around who would mess with them. I went in to feed them and...
