    Do Rabbits need a mate?

That's so beautiful. I love it when I see two buns together. I really hope the spaying calms her down, I really want them to be friends and play with each other.

    Do Rabbits need a mate?

At night, they stare at each other for long periods of time. Could this mean, they want to meet each other? But, the two times I've introduced them to each other, it starts by a biting/nipping fight, I separate them instantly after one tries to bite the other. Then, I'm too nervous to try...

    Do Rabbits need a mate?

I have two rabbits. The male is about 8-9 months old, and the female is 10-12 months old. I've unsuccessfully tried to bond them. They end up fighting, and biting each other with fur flying around. The male is neutered, the female is not spayed. I plan on getting her spayed soon, in...

    Bonding different breeds.

I currently have a male (neutered)dwarf, I think Netherland, and I might bond him with a female French Lop. The Lop is much larger than the dwarf, is this ok? Will he feel insecure/intimidated about her size?

    Rabbits biting each other.

    Rabbits biting each other.

It really looked like she wanted to be bred. I think she has strong urges of wanting to be bred. She definitely needs to be spayed. Will spaying her, take away her sensations of wanting to be bred?

    Rabbits biting each other.

Good point, she may be getting angry because he is not breeding her. Which sections, nutrition and behaviour? If a mod see's this, they can move it.

    Rabbits biting each other.

I posted this here, because the breeders would have the most experience regarding this question. I have two rabbits. One neutered male, the female is not. Tonight, was the first time I introduced them to each other. The male would chase the female, then the female would lay down. Then the...

    water BOTTLE versus water BOWL

If I notice they don't use the bottle tonight, then I will offer both options tomorrow. I thought drinking water with hair in their bowl would be bad for their intestine and bladder - like causing a blockage.

    water BOTTLE versus water BOWL

My two bunnies havebeen drinking water from a bowl for the past 5 weeks -since I've had them. However, whenver I replace their old water with new water, I notice hair in the bowl. As a result, I change their water frequently, about3-4 times a day. SO, today, I decided to buy bottles to...

    Diarrhea

Idiscovered one of my rabbit's had diarrhea this morning. I gave them raspberries yesterday (only two little pieces), but the other rabbit is fine. I have noticed for quite some time though, that the rabbit who had diarrhea this morning, tends to have smelly poop, and can sometimes be wet quite...

Resolved: Shaking after a visit to the Doctor?

Sorry, I didn't give an update sooner. He's back to himself! It took him a few hours to realize he was back home & safe. I think he was a little disorientated, that's all. Thanks for asking about him. :D

Not eating or pooping! Please help!!!

I agree with tony. A visit to the vet would be the best option. She may been in a state of pain or irritation due to some suggestions that tony stated...For instance, tooth pain, infection, physical injury. Do you know if she experienced any psychological trauma lately? An altercation with...

Resolved: Shaking after a visit to the Doctor?

I brought my male rabbit in to the doctor to have his eye checked. Fortunately, everything is alright with his eye. However, since the visit he has been shaking nervously. He's in his same old pen, but he won't leave the corner, and he's wrapped himself up in a ball & shaking. Is this normal...

    Resolved: White spot in eye

I noticed my rabbit has a small white spot in his right eye. I'm kinda worried, and I think I'm going to bring him to the vet soon. Should I wait a day or two to see if it disappears? I did some research, and I think it may be a corneal ulceration.

    Picking up Rabbit!

How do I make my rabbit comfortable before picking him up? He hates being picked up, each time I try to pick him up he either runs away or when I lift him he starts kicking back really hard.

    winning netherland dwarf's heart

I have two Netherland Dwarfs. The first one I got was a neutered male, he was very calm from the start and still is. He is the most gentle and calm rabbit ever. The second one is a unspayed female, I have to get her spayed within the next few months. When I first got her, she was very...
