    bunny is attacking my kids

That's my fear. I feel so bad but I may have to return her to the rescue. Of course her and Fiona are bonded so I feel so guilty separating her from another mate. She had bonded with Farrah for about a month before Farrah passed away. I just can't have her free roam like Fiona and have to be so...

    bunny is attacking my kids

As a side note... last night my younger daughter was sitting on the couch just sitting there and Tabitha jumped on the couch and just went after her. We tried pushing her head down and saying no but she kept coming. We just put her back in her enclosure.

    bunny is attacking my kids

That was a typo... my daughter was playing with our dog and Tabitha simply joined the room. I in no way think she is playing with our dog but she does tend to join the group when the dog is playing with the kids. I do agree that she most likely felt threatened and she’s not one to hide line...

    bunny is attacking my kids

thank you! I just needed to know how to “discipline” so to speak. We we’re trying treats yesterday. I thought if the kids give her treats and Tabitha can see them as non-threatening then maybe she’ll be nice.

    bunny is attacking my kids

I've had Fiona now for 3 months. She is very laid back, friendly but likes her private space. She has free roam in house but does not venture out of her space much. We think she may have been raised in a cage and is not comfortable exploring. She is about 2 years old. Recently we got a new bunny...

Not eating hay or greens 😳

So my newest addition Fiona, is a small albino rabbit who seems quite content to stay in her space although she is free roam. She was bonded with Farrah who passed away recently although I would not say they were super close. Farrah tended to stay under our bed most of the day while Fiona liked...

I think my rabbit hates my cat

Does anyone have experience with a rabbit that might not like its feline house mate? For months now I have been trying to figure out why my one rabbits keeps marking near the cats litter box. I've tried EVERYTHING to no avail. I even ripped up a rectangle of my pee-saturated carpet to see if...

    Out of ideas

They are definitely bonded, they do cuddle and clean each other. It just seems that Basil always has to be first to the food dish and loves to steel food items from Rue. Rue just isn't human social at all. No matter the attention we give her or the treats she runs the other way when she sees us...

    Out of ideas

My 2 female rabbits were spayed back in September. It seemed to help their litterbox habbits tremendously... for a while. Rue is still doing great, she seems to be using the litterbox however he urine doesn't stink and it lighter in color so its hard to tell sometimes. But i see her use the...

Is this cage good for a rabbit?

I switched litters to the wood horse pellets and they work great! Way better and cheaper than other litters I've tried. My buns don't chew them or anything or anything. If that is a concern you can always add a grate over the litter so that they don't have access to it. Amazon has some cheap...

    Moving buns indoors

Yes, all poops smell, at least from Basil who’s the alpha queen . They are not cecal poops for sure. I did try to clean her scent glands this morning so I’m hoping that helps although that had a totally different smell. I’m wondering too if part of it is hormones too, she’s only been fixed for...

    Moving buns indoors

I figured it was marking behavior. I really don’t want my house smelling like rabbit poo/pee... their waste is very pungent, even the poo which I find strange. Mr. Rabbit left pellets here and there but nothing major and his poo didn’t smell at all. Is this a female thing, that their waste is...

    Moving buns indoors

My buns are 7mo old now, 2 and 3 weeks post-spay. My goal is to move them indoors as free range rabbits. They current are free range on my patio and doing well litter box training. A few accidents still but I can’t tell if it’s because they marked those spots before. I’ve tried them inside a...

    Bonding

Thank you for the video! I think they are bonding... I’ve found them several times lying together and snuggling, a little grooming too. It’s definitely one-sided, Basil is more dominant. I think Basil is actually keeping Rue from human bonding because Rue tends to run and hide behind Basil when...

    Bonding

How do I know if my buns are bonded? I mean, they don't fight at all and seem tolerant of each other but I seem to have 1 docile bun and 1 strong alpha. They are spayed but 1 still seems to be marking with poos and rubbing her face everywhere. The other just kind of hides most of the day, comes...

What on Earth is my bunny?!

My late Mr. Rabbit had similar fur to yours and he had Lionhead in him. He was definitely a mix, had medium length fur and super soft/fluffy.

    Biting, aggressive toward my husband

My two new bunnies, Rue and Basil, are seven months old now. I have posted before about marking and litter box training. I had Basil spayed last week and it seems to be helping with the marking. Both are doing much better with their litter box habits. The newest development is that Basil, who...

    Litterbox training

I think I’m just trying too hard and fighting a lost cause... at least until they’re fixed. How long do females take to simmer down after being spayed?

    Litterbox training

Yes, it is PVC coated wire but I also usually have these plastic liners over that (kinda look like a broiler pan). I took them off because I thought they were contributing to the smell issue I was having. I have since replaced them with a lining of hay to see if that helps. They don’t mind being...
