I can understand that 100%. Thankfully last year nothing like that happened with my Flemish. Of course I was cooped with other people that I knew and were friends with, and I knew their animals were healthy. I can totally understand though. I love Castor Mini Rex ^_^...just wanted to throw that...

I hear ya!! I am looking at about 200 dollars in entry fees. Thats for 11 rabbits, but thats 2 open shows and two Specialty shows. Thankfully the entry fees for my specialty shows didnt go up as well. I have also decided that I will not be cooping my animals at the show. I am staying only...

I would like to know what made them do that. I know that they take pride in having over 12,000 entries every year, but if they pull a stunt like this...I wonder if it will effect attendence next year. My mom shows Hollands, OakRidgeRabbits. She is new to showing..she really enjoys it though...

I know myself and numerous others are not thrilled about the 5.00 entry fees. Thankfully I had a big bonus coming from work, otherwise I would have to be passing on showing there. I am still very excited though ^_^ ~Ginger :bunnydance:

My mom actually started showing rabbits this past fall so we could "bond better" so the Rabbit crazyness pulls EVERYONE in haha! I love it!!

I will have to remember how to use my flicker account!! haha! its been so long! Ill toy around with it this evening and hopefully post some pics ^_^ I hope that the little ones grow up to be big and grand champions like their Momma ^_^ That would be AWESOME!!

Sunday my Light Gray Doe Audrey gave birth to the first light gray babies to be born under my Rabbitry ^_^. I am very excited about it. They are sired by my Light Gray Buck Micah. Audrey is having some issues with being a mother, so I am having to nurse the rabbits off of her. Thanks again...

Richard0600- Plastic easter eggs..like the ones that are used for easter egg hunts... Bentley- Yeah, don't let the rabbit run around esp if you don't feel comfortable with your other animals being around her unsupervised. I am with you on the having the rabbits fixed..that can be a costly...

Only does?? Wow! That is pretty strict. I do like how the pedigree rule can encourage kids to buy good quality rabbits.

Pam, Does your county require pedigrees? I never knew that some places required it.. I learn something new every day:bunnydance:

The first step would be to contact your local 4-H extention office and find a rabbit or general club in your area. After that you can always go to http://www.ARBA.net (American Rabbit Breeders Assoc.) to look at the different breeds that are out there, and it will also help you find a breeder...
